    This is the email:
We have received the valuation report for the application. The property has been valued at £143,000 with a recommendation of £3,500 for the following:
“Remedial damp and timber treatment works required.”
The retention is calculated and applied. If the customers wish to proceed with the retention in place as a condition of the offer, we would release £128,700 on completion and retain £3,150 pending receipt of proof that the relevant works have been completed. If the customers wish to proceed by providing the proof prior to an offer being issued we would need to see proof that the works are carried out to then refer back to the valuer for reconsideration.
How frustrating for you! Have you decided what you’re going to do?

Hi all, also waiting for a mortgage - application submitted circa 21st Dec, valuation happened 14th Jan and tumbleweed since! It's a house on a substantial plot (4.5 acres) which we lovely - obviously - but will be hard to value. Really nervous! Bought as a renovation project, we have £170k tied up in another property we will release at some point and use on mortgage and renovations, but things are tight until then and I'm dreading undervaluation or remedial works being required immediately!

We’ve just had our text through and now have the offer! Strange timing as I was literally on live chat with them to make sure they’ve not forgotten! Got another 3 months now of worrying until completion 😂

    fingers crossed for you guys!!!

You guys who are contacting NW through chat, presumably you applied direct and not through a broker? I don't want to hassle my broker but wish I could check on progress!

Amazing fingers crossed the valuation is accepted and you get the offer text tomorrow. We’re still waiting for our valuation to be received. It was booked into to done at 1pm today. Everyday feels like a week waiting

@Mgars93 After much debate and googling we’ve decided to say yes. NW have just told us offer should be with us by end of this week. I’m drained!!!! Yay for you though. Are you feeling lighter?
