How have peoples experiences been with exchange/completion? Were NW timely with release of funds etc? Any final documents asked for or credit checks?0

Has anyone had any updates to their mortgage? It's almost 3 weeks since mine went in and I haven't heard anything yet.1

Had an update this morning, finally received all of my documents after submitting them 4 times via email and then 1 time to someone directly whilst on the phone (very helpful lady). Now passed on for full assessment. Not sure how long that process takes.0

Seems to be no real order. We were told it would be 27 days when we applied a couple of weeks ago and we got our offer in 6 days. A mate of mine has been chasing for 5 weeks now.Jas_cur said:Has anyone had any updates to their mortgage? It's almost 3 weeks since mine went in and I haven't heard anything yet.0 -
Is your friend going through a broker? There seems to be a trend with Nationwide prioritising direct clients, or they have a poor service with brokers I’m not sure! Has anyone got a speedy result going through a broker, or anyone going direct had to wait in limbo for ages?Definite said:

I have gone through a broker. They originally said the underwriters will be done by today but now they are saying weds so we shall see. Does anyone know if they are still working between Christmas and New year?0

Our valuation was completed on 18/12 with a homebuyers survey. Just spoke to Nationwide directly who advised us that they have received our valuation back and we will hear something by 29th December, but the lady I spoke to said the valuation is the same as the value of the property so we should receive an offer by 29th!16/10 - Decision in principle
22/10 - offer accepted
30/10 - application submitted
10/11 - hard credit search (ClearScore)
13/11 - application cancelled due to wrong address submitted by MA
16/11 - application re-submitted
25/11 - hard credit search (Credit Karma)
10/12 - valuation booked for 18/12
18/12 - valuation and homebuyers survey completed
23/12 - mortgage offer received and homebuyers survey returned1 -
Both of us went through a broker, albeit different ones. We did have a mortgage approved some time back for a deal which fell through, so I wonder if that made a difference.Shoppadolley said:
