So an update
Mortgage application was 2/12
Referred straight away
Hard search completed 03/12
Was told it would be looked at by 21st
Today told it will now be 23rd
No valuation done yet.

So application was escalated Tuesday and given 2 working days turnaround for that. Nothing heard so far today.

Been watching this thread for a while and thought I'd share our experience to add hope to some. We had an offer accepted last week, applied for mortgage last Friday (17% deposit) through Nationwide, valuation was booked for Monday and we got a text today saying Nationwide have issued an offer. No idea why it was so quick, but really pleased as we were expecting the worst based on this forum.

Your soft search will have been if you had to do the DIP before, do you know when your hard search was done at all?

Just looked again. Hard search was Friday. DIP was done a few weeks ago when we made our offer on the house.
