Wanted to give you an update on my application, no formal offer yet from Nationwide however my broker has said that I am in the queue for an offer letter to be instructed, which nationwide have said, should be received by the 26th November... and have passed all assessments.
90% LTV mortgage - single application
12/10/2020 - Application submitted
14/10/2020 - Valuation booked for 16th October 2020
21/10/2020 - Hard search done on file.
28/10/2020 - Request made for LISA statement
19/11/2020 - Broker updated to say all accepted, all checks completed by underwriter, awaiting mortgage offer letter (TBC)
Finally, have my mortgage offer notification today (9th December 2020).
hopefully, it won't be long but I am awaiting searches and enquiries. I hope you all get your mortgage offer soon!
Haha, so, don't know if I should laugh or cry however, My mortgage offer came through but for the wrong house. Think there has been some mix up and my mortgage broker put my DIP through as my first house viewing and then updated Nationwide with the new property (two weeks later) after my broker was told of the new property and bid accepted, however Nationwide wont budge and state a new application needs to go in.
My mortgage broker has spoken to their BDM and they are going to try and push this through as quickly as possible to get it done and on this DIP, I came back as a straight "accept" instead of subjective accept, which I presume is better. So fingers crossed, it all goes ok.
Friday 11th December 2020 - Application submitted (with all previous document and new document)16/10 - Decision in principle
22/10 - offer accepted
30/10 - application submitted
10/11 - hard credit search (ClearScore)
13/11 - application cancelled due to wrong address submitted by MA
16/11 - application re-submitted
25/11 - hard credit search (Credit Karma)
10/12 - valuation booked for 18/12
18/12 - valuation and homebuyers survey completed
23/12 - mortgage offer received and homebuyers survey returned0 -

Working day 86. Almost waited a month just to confirm a loan amount change. Still no answer.0

Hi,
Me and my girlfriend applied for our mortgage on the 20th October through a broker with a 16% deposit. Our valuation then took place on the 29th. Since then we have heard almost nothing other then Nationwide requiring a couple of bits of information.
Is it possible to get any updates from Nationwide directly even though we applied through a broker? Just would be
nice for piece of mind to hear what stage it’s at from them instead of from the broker.0 -

FTB using H2B; 52% LTV
Full application submitted & confirmation via text - 23 November
Valuation received & approved and mortgage offered — 10 December
17 days in total; 13 working days
Applied via broker who had estimated three weeks.
After hearing nothing post application, I got three text messages at once yesterday! Such a relief. Now to get through the other milestones.Good luck to everyone waiting!
I have just recieved a notification that a hard search was done on Friday. Happy that something is happening!0 -

We then found another, similar property 2 weeks later but had to cancel our current application and reapply even though the loan amount was near identical and valuation hadn't been done yet. We did our DIP again on 26th November but this time went straight to accept. Valuation completed 6 working days later and offer issued same day.
I think they relaxed the credit scoring/lending criteria at DIP stage mid November so more cases are going down the automated route rather than manual.
Only thing to be wary of is we now have 2 hard credit searches on us within a month but I read somewhere that you can request nationwide to retract the first hard search. Feels a bit paranoid but our experience of buying a house in COVID is that people's circumstances change overnight and the chain can easily fall through and don't want to decimate our credit report having to reapply multiple times!1 -
Hi so nationwide text me and my partner last Wednesday to say they were releasing the funds on Friday the 11th, this is all we’re waiting on and the funds still haven’t went through to my solicitors has this happened to anyone else. Completion date and getting the keys were meant to be the 14th but nothing yet we wanted to get in before Christmas which is becoming increasingly more unlikely as every day passes0
-
Oh no that isn't good. How have nationwide explained that?0
-
Well we exchanged contracts today, funds are due to be released tomorrow to agent for completion. Its the last hurdle but I'm so nervous something will go wrong. Its been far from an easy journey so far. Hang on in there guys I know how hard it is xNATIONWIDE FTB -
