Ah right, what LTV are you on? We’re using H2B so on a 75% so we might have just gone straight to accept

We were referred as we were a bit cheeky and fixed our nationwide mortgage at a low rate, let one payment come out and then applied to port it. Our hard search was completed on the 13th and found out yesterday a valuation has been booked for the 4th.

    Hi everyone
Not posted in a little while but here was my outcome... we applied middle of Aug, took until October to be accepted, valuation was delayed until mid Nov because of lockdown, we had to renegotiate because of the valuation and then since then we waited weeks to hear just before Christmas that Nationwide had decided they didn't like something about our application and declined us, which was pretty bad after 4 months + had passed. Our broker hadn't been very forthcoming either (we think trying to fix it in the background but just leaving us in the dark).

Anyway, we pushed hard for appeal as we are in no different position than when we were intially in August, apart from having less debt, but in all honesty didn't expect that to go anywhere - but had to at least try.

Anyway, this morning, one after the other, it all came through! Relieved, and hopefully now able to work towards finishing it all off in the next few weeks. All the legals were done ages ago so should just be a case of tying everything together. Was well worth appealing the decision. I've lost count but I think I'm somewhere just sort of 100 working days :D
