Fantastic news🎉!!! I’ve been looking for your outcome! So happy for you!!mh_ww said:Hi everyone
Not posted in a little while but here was my outcome... we applied middle of Aug, took until October to be accepted, valuation was delayed until mid Nov because of lockdown, we had to renegotiate because of the valuation and then since then we waited weeks to hear just before Christmas that Nationwide had decided they didn't like something about our application and declined us, which was pretty bad after 4 months + had passed. Our broker hadn't been very forthcoming either (we think trying to fix it in the background but just leaving us in the dark).
Anyway, we pushed hard for appeal as we are in no different position than when we were intially in August, apart from having less debt, but in all honesty didn't expect that to go anywhere - but had to at least try.
Anyway, this morning, one after the other, it all came through! Relieved, and hopefully now able to work towards finishing it all off in the next few weeks. All the legals were done ages ago so should just be a case of tying everything together. Was well worth appealing the decision. I've lost count but I think I'm somewhere just sort of 100 working days

if you don’t mind me asking why did they decline you?0 -
We weren't told anything further than credit score despite being fine on the first pass. Nothing has changed for us apart from balances decreasing, and we found a post two years ago with almost the exact same scenario where someone passed, had a valuation with a retention, renegotiated and found themselves declined. They also appealed and were successful so was worth a shot.Anya86 said:

So happy that it’s all sorted for you! It’s so stressful and you had to endure more then necessary! Here’s to 2021 in your new home 🎉mh_ww said:

All I can say is I hope nobody else has to wait as long as that with all those ups and downs. AwfulAnya86 said:

Hi everyone. had an update through the web chat. Mortgage application is in assessment pipeline and valuation will instructed by 13. Is it mean we passed the underwriter?? As our application been referred !!0

I chased ours earlier, they’re still reviewing my payslip and don’t want any more documents as we got the initial accept.Vidi said:Hi everyone. had an update through the web chat. Our valuation was instructed last week but as our developer has been closed it’s not been booked in, but should hear something back today or tomorrow.

Hope you hear a good news soon

Well yesterday our valuation was completed via desktop (even though they said it was a physical valuation) and the mortgage has been offered. Bitter sweet as the house we are buying has a tenant who was due to move out Dec 31st but now may not be till May so may loose our sale 😭0

Just had the text through that we’ve got a valuation booked in next Thursday 14th
