Update - I received an email saying that they "received all requested documents and the mortgage application has now been passed for full assessment. If we need anything further we'll let you know."
    Timeline in my signature below.

I’m at a similar point with our application - just been on the phone to them and they’ve said we should know by 1 December as they’ve got a turnaround of 13 workings days. It could be sooner, but they cannot confirm that.
Oh thats interesting, I thought the wait was average 19 working days? Or is it 13 for full assessment?
According the to the advisor on the phone, it’s currently at 13 working days for full assessment. I’m so confused though, the WebChat team told me I should hear by tomorrow so who knows!

  • I feel your pain for everyone waiting. We are on the other side and we hsve our mortgage offer in place from a different lender but our buyers are using nationwide and it’s taking an age!! We were due to move next week and now it’s looking very unlikely! They applied back in October and nationwide have lost their docs once and only just starting to review it all. Valuation has been done they have looked at their file and asked for additional paperwork which was submitted and still no word back! It’s so so fustrating. I honestly do not know what’s taking so long but it’s stressing me out

I'm not bitter 😂 I've just been told that I may have to wait until the 1 December and my timeline is the almost identical.

  • @NHB2020 and @Anya86 all the dates are the same for our applications! I take it you both went directly with Nationwide and not through a broker? It seems that people who applied through a broker have had their application assessed quicker than ours (for example, yllop1101, who has received their mortgage offer today and applied 6/11).

Definitely! We've gone direct with Nationwide as we're porting and adding myself to the Mortgage.
I'm still going to hope for an update tomorrow.

    I’ve applied through a broker. 😬
I’ve heard that it’s the opposite and those applying directly are reviewed quicker. I think there’s lots of variables such as location etc there doesn’t seem like there’s any consistency!

That's what I'd heard originally, that directs were faster. I was originally told by the webchat team that I'd have decision tomorrow, but I rang and was told latest is 1 December. I'll just keep messaging them everyday and see what happens.
I'll be insane befor this is all over.
