We never got the 'valuation approved' text, only the 'valuation recieved' text and 9 days later offer, I only chased my broker once but she did tell me that she had all the requested docs that were required on the DIP on standby, im assuming that's why it was fairly straightforward (and nerver wrecking). No other questions were asked re deposit etc , (deposit gift from Mother)bannanna said:
Thanks keepthefaith, if todays valuation was physical I'd be gobsmacked. Had expected there to still be a huge backlog but perhaps we're through the bottleneck now. Haven't received a text or otherwise to say the valuation has been completed though. Did you ever have sight of your NW valuation?keepthefaith2021 said:
Hi , we recently had offer from Nationwide and it can either be a desktop or a physical one more than like it's a physical and offer not long after. Good luckbannanna said:Hello, nervously joining you all!!
I am a FTB, sole applicant for a 90% LTV mortgage with Nationwide.
Timeline:
12/11 Offer accepted
13/11 Solicitor instructed
17/11 AIP and full application, most recent payslip sent as requested
18/11 Valuation
I am assuming that the valuations are predominantly desk based at the moment(?), as I applied for the mortgage on the afternoon of 17/11 and the valuation appt was booked in for 8am the following morning. Hoping to get an offer this side of Christmas but we'll see... Would love to be in the (currently unoccupied) house in January....maybe then it'll all start to feel a bit more real!?
Sending strength to all fellow applicants!!
I was 84% LTV FTB.
Wishing you luck, it will be fine!!

It's great that you got your valuation done so quickly. I put my application in on 13th and the valuation was instructed on the same day but it has not been booked yet. There seems to be a few people here who get lost in the pile, I'm hoping I'm not one of them as Im hoping to be moved before Christmas.bannanna said:Hello, nervously joining you all!!

So after some back and forth yesterday I think we've avoided the retention placed on the mortgage by bringing the price down on the house and putting a little more towards the deposit. Just a case now of submitting any new paperwork Nationwide require and the inevitable wait for it to be reviewed again

Hello all,
Wanted to give you an update on my application, no formal offer yet from Nationwide however my broker has said that I am in the queue for an offer letter to be instructed, which nationwide have said, should be received by the 26th November... and have passed all assessments.
90% LTV mortgage - single application
12/10/2020 - Application submitted
14/10/2020 - Valuation booked for 16th October 2020

19/11/2020 - Broker updated to say all accepted, all checks completed by underwriter, awaiting mortgage offer letter (TBC)1 -
Update - I received an email saying that they "received all requested documents and the mortgage application has now been passed for full assessment. If we need anything further we'll let you know."

@happyindebt our timelines are almost identical-
Nationwide Mortgage App 80 LTV FTB
Both full-time employed with extra Self-employed income.
Text received confirming application received - 05/11/20
No Text received for valuation- it was booked for 16/11/20 we know it took place as we are renting the property we are hoping to buy.
Hard credit search transunion and Equifax - 15/11/20
Email from MB - ‘We've received all requested documents and your clients mortgage application has now been passed for full assessment. If we need anything further we'll let you know’- 17/11/20I am not sure if the valuation has been looked at or if that would be next week! I’m assuming that the first look is to check requested documents are there and then the underwriters will be looking in more detail, so could potentially request more documents!I can’t cope with the waiting, it’s driving me crazy!!0 -
I’m at a similar point with our application - just been on the phone to them and they’ve said we should know by 1 December as they’ve got a turnaround of 13 workings days. It could be sooner, but they cannot confirm that.happyindebt said:Update - I received an email saying that they "received all requested documents and the mortgage application has now been passed for full assessment. So a week later and still no update...asked mortgage advisor about this and he said a few more days again...apparently we are in the queue but starting to think that we will be waiting quite a while like a lot of people on the forumsophljones2020 said:Hi everyone,
I've been reading this thread for a while now as we are going through the mortgage process with a 90% LTV (FTB). We submitted our full application on 29/10. Valuation was booked and carried out the following day on 30/10. Nationwide received the valuation report on 2/11. Didn't hear anything since then but spoke to our mortgage advisor this morning and he said that a hard check has been done and we have passed all the check and it is now waiting for final sign off! We are taking this as a good sign, he said we should hear back within the next few days. Not sure why ours has been processed so quickly as have read some horror stories on here and thought we would have to wait at least a month for it to be processed. 7 working days seems very quick to us so hoping it isn't rejected!
they havent asked for any documents so thats good I suppose 0 -
Oh thats interesting, I thought the wait was average 19 working days? Or is it 13 for full assessment?NHB2020 said:
