Well we were told today our application was approved on the 12th of November, and we should expect the offer on writing by the 24th.We had to apply through a ‘manual process’ as we are redeeming our mortgage, then porting it within 189 days. As a result we have had no texts and no way to track without calling the complex case team.
2nd October AIP
9th October offer accepted
12th October booked application appointment
26th October Application Appointment
28th October Valuation (we assume desktop)
9th November Valuation flagged with assessment team as it has been missed and we chased
12th November Application marked as Approved for Manual OfferIt’s a big relief but I won’t relax til I get the letter and they release the funds really.1 -

we were told we would have offer sent this week and our solicitors won’t start any paperwork until offer received and nationwide just aren’t budging and escalating it. We are the only ones holding up the whole chain now

Oh no how awful. My solicitor has agreed to start work while we wait, on the understanding we may incur costs that go to waste if it declined. As it happens the vendors solicitors took 5 weeks to get the paperwork to her so it has only just started. Fingers crossed they send it out or your solicitor becomes more reasonable!MrsPelham said:

Difference with our is web been told it’s been accepted and they’d advised me at nationwide on Friday that the offer would be this week, and now have come back and told us 3 weeks just to process paperwork, so it’s nationwide at fault not my solicitortigerlily74 said:

technically the solicitor isn’t doing anything wrong 0 -
So we had an email this morning from broker advising a retention had been placed on our property of £10k due to works needed and we can either go ahead with that, renegotiate etc. I'm not surprised in all fairness as we had a few concerns when viewing so we did expect it to not be straightforward. Spoken to the EA now and seeing what next step is.0

It sounds like you have instructed them to wait for the paperwork from nationwide then? We told our solicitor to just crack on.MrsPelham said:

Hello, nervously joining you all!!
I am a FTB, sole applicant for a 90% LTV mortgage with Nationwide.
Timeline:
12/11 Offer accepted
13/11 Solicitor instructed
17/11 AIP and full application, most recent payslip sent as requested
18/11 Valuation
I am assuming that the valuations are predominantly desk based at the moment(?), as I applied for the mortgage on the afternoon of 17/11 and the valuation appt was booked in for 8am the following morning. Hoping to get an offer this side of Christmas but we'll see... Would love to be in the (currently unoccupied) house in January....maybe then it'll all start to feel a bit more real!?
Sending strength to all fellow applicants!!0 -
Hi , we recently had offer from Nationwide and it can either be a desktop or a physical one more than like it's a physical and offer not long after. Good luckbannanna said:Hello, nervously joining you all!!

Thanks keepthefaith, if todays valuation was physical I'd be gobsmacked. Had expected there to still be a huge backlog but perhaps we're through the bottleneck now. Haven't received a text or otherwise to say the valuation has been completed though. Did you ever have sight of your NW valuation?keepthefaith2021 said:
