  • I have been following this thread over the past few weeks when I submitted my application and just had it accepted today.
    21/10 - Submitted Application
    22/10 - Valuation Booked
    26/10 - Valuation Received
    6/11 - Offer accepted
We are FTB with 90% LTV so was a bit worried about timeline. I suppose most people reading this thread will have already submitted their application but in case it helps anyone out we submitted our application with trussle, who I would definitely  recommend as how quick our process has been compared to others, I think the average application time with nationwide atm is pretty quick as ours was accepted within 16 days.

Wow, that’s so quick for Nationwide at the moment! Congrats on getting everything sorted. Another few anxious weeks wait for me I think.

Will do!  Worth ringing the mortgage update line if you haven't already, it was the only way I got anything out of Nationwide, the mortgage consultant rarely replied to my emails, and when she did it was always in a rude "how dare you bother me" kind of manner...

    Wow that’s super quick!
    I’m incredibly jealous 🤣

We start going into week 8 on Monday.
FTB too, 90% LTV, not self employed, not furloughed, no adverse credit issues, so I’m extremely confused as to what the hold up is.

I have considered that as well....but the extremely stubborn side doesn’t want to give up now.
Part of me can’t help but think that if our application was with them for the final checks on 29/10 and we still haven’t heard anything, it’s not going to be good news. But then the other part of me thinks it’s good news that they haven’t declined it.
I’m exhausted with it all. I knew it could be a few weeks to get a decision but I really didn’t foresee this!

We had a pretty smooth application process.
    • 26/10/20 - Applied over the phone for remortgage, got DIP and booked in for full application over the phone with their mortgage advisor on 06/11/20 (tried to do it online, but as a contractor working via a Limited Company they make you call up)
    • 27/10/20 - Mortgage Advisor emails and asks us to send over SA302s, Tax Year Overviews, Home Insurance, Life Insurance, plus answers to a few questions
    • 06/10/20 - Call with Mortgage Advisor, mortgage approved, paid £999 fee, all documents emailed over to us while on the phone, valuation to be booked in next 2 days
It probably helps that are LTV is below 60%. Also we had all the documents ready to go along with a list of all our monthly expenses in a spreadsheet ready to read out if needed which saved a lot of time. The advisor said they normally book 2.5 hours out, but we got through it in 35 minutes.

Has anyone had issues with subjective accept? I am lead to believe that we will get an offer. We applied on the 16 October...valuation 28th October, am told 20 days delay should have a response by Friday?

How do you know you have a subjective accept. If the valuation has been done, so you know what it’s subject to? As far as I’m aware, the first vetting is just checking the paperwork supplied is all accurate and they have everything. Then it goes for a final approval, I presume by an underwriter. At least that’s what the gentleman at Nationwide told me on the phone. My timescales are the same as yours, bar a request for an up to date statement this week. As such, I’ve got to wait for that to be checked before being passed to final checks.
