Really hope you get good news soon!Not heard a jot from NW since then.We’ve not even heard about a valuation 😩 I don’t know if they notify anyone if they do a desktop valuation.Was yours a physical viewing?I’m almost tearing my hair out from the waiting!0 -
Have you called them? I rang today they said valuation was fine so assume desktop. They have everything just waiting for final assessment before offer. I was told underwriting is 13 days backlog and would know on Monday if not before.... although I have little faith considering the timelines on here. We wasn’t asked for anything further from initial documents. But hear you the waiting game is awful have considered looking at a plan B but wonder if it’s just the same with everything being so backlogged at the moment. Have instructed surveys via solicitors which are also delayed long road ahead it seems!GN2020 said:

I haven’t rang them at all to be honest, only because we’ve used a broker so I thought it best to leave it to him. To be fair to him, he’s been great with getting in touch when he needs to and letting us know what was going on in the early days. I don’t want to feel like I’m pestering him or anything but I’m going to chase it up this week.1234abcdsar said:

So the underwriting is 13 working days? In that case I wouldn’t expect us to hear anything back until next week...
We haven’t started the surveys yet, just in case the worst case scenario happened and we got declined but I’m reading a lot on here of people being declined by different lenders then getting a mortgage with someone else.I’m half tempted to just get the surveys started to be honest because that’s taking a while as well, so at least that would be done.Luckily, the vendors of our place aren’t in a chain at all, it’s an empty property they’re selling.I’m just terrified of the mortgage being declined after so long though.0 -
Yes apparently 13 working days so I was told today. She said if you do not hear anything by next Monday then call back. I have a MA too and felt the same but I don’t want to drive him mad he has told me to just wait and send me their SLA’s.My solicitor said that searches are 8 weeks back log too had a response from the local council acknowledging the delays. We are in an open ended chain at the moment so it just goes on and on!Trying to stay positive and not stress about it! My other half is so chilled out.
