Thankfully the EA has been good with us, they know it’s out of our hands and I’m doing everything I can to chase it up.Do they keep asking if you have an update??0 -

Ive emailed my broker to say I’m going to point them in his direction as I can’t give them any more info than I already have! Why is it honestly taking so long? Apparently we are waiting for our last submitted documents to be reviewed but I genuinely have no idea if this is all we are waiting for. What about you?Nationwide Mortgage App 85 LTV

I think we may have been lucky with our mortgage after reading some of your experiences. We made our formal application with a Nationwide MA on 28/10. Valuation booked for 3/11 (had confirmation from the sellers that it was attended in person). Today we received a text to say Nationwide have got the valuation report and they will be in touch. 1 minute later we had a further text to say that an offer has been issued. Now we just need for it to arrive in the post 😀 Hopefully the offer will be what we need, then we just need to wait for the property searches to complete.0

What about you?No idea about the valuation at all, had nothing about it whatsoever, whether they’ve done a desktop one is anyone’s guess.0 -

GN2020 our LTV is 81%. We are porting our current mortgage and borrowing more on another package with Nationwide. I guess the fact that we are with them already may have helped to speed it up. Good luck to everyone else.

I’ve made an application to Nationwide through a broker. I foolishly didn’t check all three credit files (rookie error) and turns out I have a late payment 14 months ago. Was an error with Anglian Water when closing the account and I settled it as soon as I got the letter, but 30 day late payment marked on credit file. Anyway, found this out after the application had been submitted and now panicking. I’ve disputed it, because the bill they sent had no due date and I had a direct debit in place and when I spoke to them they confirmed the last direct debit in July would cover the full balance...obviously it did not and they needed more. Has anyone had a mark like this and still had an offer. I’m expecting to get a decline before I can sort this with Anglian Water. Some people tell me as it’s just one late payment it’s not a track record and they will understand, but I’m not so sure.Any help from those with offers would be of some reassurance.
I had one as well from last year from my car insurance company (I still don’t think it was a late payment as checked bank statements and payment went through the same month but it was already too late to dispute it) and my offer was approved with no further questions asked. My credit file also showed a £800 credit card balance which I had paid off before applying but the credit file didn’t update in time so I contacted them and told them and they were fine. My LTV is 80%.Hoping they don’t question it and delay things further. I rang the other day to chase it up and they needed more statements and hadn’t told my broker. Apparently, as my statements go from the 17th of the month they wanted an extra one to have 3 full month statements. They only technically had 2 full months and 2 half months. I’m now back in the queue waiting for the documents to be reviewed and then final checks. It’s looking like end of November now before the final yes or no. 😞0 -
We are on working day 8, the valuation was requested last Tuesday. We rang today as had heard nothing and apparently it hasn’t even gone out to the surveyor to try to book it in and according to the timescales they gave us it should have been booked by now. So that’s pretty disappointing. They have chased the valuation team and expect an update on two working days. Our offer was accepted over a month ago and the seller’s solicitors have still not sent the pack to mine, so we are delayed on both fronts!0
