Nationwide Mortgage

Thanks for the info. I haven’t used live chat as yet as I didn’t want my broker to feel I’m treading on his toes by going direct for an update. The suspense is killing me though! I might try it on Monday if still no word, as just some reassurance that I’m moving along in the process would be good.alexthomas21 said:

I’m on a similar timeframe to you, application and valuation dates exactly the same! Had a request middle of last week for a savings account statement (they had a statement showing the balance but it only covered a 2 week period, they wanted a full month’s statement - it’s just a regular saver with one standing order into it a month so nothing exciting to see but who am I to argue!).alexthomas21 said:
Keep you all updated, had a request off my broker this morning to send my LISA statement, which has been done very promptly. She expects Nationwide to start going through these and with the Wales Fire-breaker lockdown (Where I live) she is hoping Nationwide can start moving forward with all applicationsalexthomas21 said:Hello All,
FTB here, going through a nationwide mortgage and hope it goes smoothly...
90% LTV - could have borrowed more but settled for 81% of affordability, sent all payslips, 3 month bank statements, LISA proof and ID to broker.
12/10/2020 - application submitted
14/10/2020 - valuation booked for 16th October 2020.
Heard nothing since off nationwide through communication channels but through live chat have said that we are having document checked and now has gone to mortgage consultant? Query if this is the underwriter, said we should know in 24 hours but that has since come and gone...
hope you all get your offers through 🙂 will keep you updated.
So new timeline - As i can't set up a signature
12/10/2020 - Application submitted
14/10/2020 - Valuation booked for 16th October 2020
21/10/2020 - Hard search done on file.
28/10/2020 - Request made for LISA statement
Haven’t had notification of a hard search yet, which I feel like is the next key milestone. Fingers crossed I get that this week as I hate the weekends knowing I’ll definitely hear nothing.
Did you hear anything about your valuation? I got a text the evening of the valuation (a week and a half ago) to say they’d received the report and their email said they’d review it “in the next couple of days” but I’ve heard nothing since. Wish I could hear back on that so at least it’s one less hurdle to worry about!
that’s spooky isn’t it, I never had an update from nationwide about the valuation being received but through their live chat, they did inform me that it had and the price was agreed with my purchase price, however I await to receive the approve notification from them. I would recommend the live chat option, they are good, a little inconsistent by good none the less.My hard search was noted on credit karma, they are really good and show you the details of it all.My broker seems to think that it will be a couple of days now but we should hear more from Nationwide soon? Just hope it’s not too long.
I will you all the best with your house purchase and please keep up informed, we are all in this together 😊
I’m signed up to Credit Karma so I’ll keep my eye out for a search.
Good luck with your application😀0 -
I had that text on 16th October and I’m still waiting so not necessarily a sign that an offer is imminent😔 Fingers crossed for you!1234abcdsar said:Hi, FTB had this text yesterday:

Hi, Nationwide here. We've received the valuation report for your mortgage application. We'll review this and be in touch if we need anymore information.
I am told all standard by my MB, has anyone had an offer after this recently and if so what was the timeline?
Thanks0 -

I've been watching this thread with great fear as we awaited our Nationwide mortgage application being processed. Happy to say we received our mortgage offer today! Here's our details in case it helps anyone -
FTB, Scotland, 80% LTV using First Home Fund to top up deposit, partner has been on furlough with return to work next week. We used a broker to submit the application.
7/10 - Mortgage application received
8/10 - Valuation booked and accepted (existing home report was used)
16/10 - Hard check on Equifax and Transunion
27/10 - Further documentation requested (partner's latest payslip and a more detailed letter from employer re: return to work after furlough)
29/10 - Further documentation submitted
30/10 - Mortgage offer received2 -

just had an update from my broker, appears the LISA document that was requested, has been accepted but has put me at the back of the Queue...
My broker is hoping that we will hear more next week, however I’m losing the excitement of home buying slowly...
I hope everyone in here, gets what they want 🙂0 -
Apparently there is a 7 day backlog for underwriters.harmz2361 said:

So no news this week after my broker was confident of an offer being issued last week 🙄. Onwards to next week which will be the start of week 6 😩. Getting scared we won’t get the mortgage and lose our dream house now.Nationwide Mortgage App 85 LTV
Applying via Broker
Full App 25/09/20
Text Received confirming app received 26/09/20
Text received for Valuation for same day 01/10/20
Broker emailed to say valuation and additional docs awaiting review 06/10/20
Hard search Clearscore 06/10/20
MB requests latest bank statement, sent to MB same day 16/10
13/11 email from broker all docs assessed and acceptable but house down valued.
20/11 purchase price amended0 -
Yes I did. He’s not been in touch with me unless he’s needed documentation so I’m not sure whether he’s received a similar update. I’ll probably check on Monday as I’d like some reassurance that the application is progressing.1234abcdsar said:
