We had our text last Tuesday (29th) at ~5pm and had the letter through on Monday (5th), so 4 working days for us. If you haven't got it by tomorrow I'd give them a callAmalice said:Was hoping someone could tell me how long it took from getting their mortgage offer text to receiving it through the post? Suseka97 said:Can someone advise what the mortgage consultants call is like? Do they basically go through the same as when applying for the DIP and do you then know, as part of that conversation, if they are prepared to offer (with the caveat it will be based on the valuation which I knows comes later). Or, do they just take down all the details and then you have to wait until the valuation etc (several weeks later on, from what I've read here) until you finally know whether they are actually going to make any sort of offer? I've very little faith in the process and having had difficulty with the DIP, I'm feeling quite anxious whilst waiting for my appointment which isn't until 20th October.
Hi, for me it was pretty much giving the same details as given for the DIP, they do soft searches on your credit file, and review bank statements and pay slips. She said my case would be referred to the underwriter as the old mortgage was in both our names, but the new mortgage would be in mine alone. She was going to book a valuation there and then, but as I wanted a full building survey she said she couldn't do that and could only book a homebuyers survey, and that I should receive a call within a few days. No call after a week so chased this up. Apparently because my case has been referred to the underwriter no valuation can be booked until I have been vetted, which seems odd as she was originally going to book it there and then. They haven't got a clue tbh, slightly higher IQ's that the automatic robots that do the AIP's.

Just been told by my MB our valuation has been done automatically. I’m guessing this is a good thing!0

They’ve done a desktop valuation for you?mitch20151412 said:Just been told by my MB our valuation has been done automatically. I’m guessing this is a good thing!0 -
Well I assume so. MB said valuation had been done automatically so that would speed things up. I’ll clarify that they’ve done a desktop valuation though.GN2020 said:

Looking like another week without an offer. You'd think for the sake of just looking at one document they'd get that through. Even just to get there own timescales down. Roll on day 32, cant believe im even saying that. I know theres worse in this forum than me but 6/7 weeks for an offer. Is a joke we've worked throughout and in stable jobs you'd think it would be staright forward. Some people applying after us and getting offers beforehand.Nationwide FTB 90%LTVFull applications 26/08Valuation booked 26/08Hard Search (equifax & Transunion) 04/09

Well the valuation is showing as received and under review. Fingers crossed this one comes back ok and not £14,000 down valued on the last house we applied for a mortgage on a few weeks back. Same survey company, though. Nervous wreck now!

Was your valuation marked as under review or did it just come through as accepted. I can see from your signature that it took a while to come through. Can't remember if you said you were down valued or not.Nationwide Application / Joint FTB / 85% LTV
