Nationwide Mortgage

  • It is odd to see people having very different experiences. I have had no problems with Nationwide since submitting my full mortgage application in September directly via their website. I even asked them to slow down because my sellers were still looking for a property. I did not want the homebuyer survey to go ahead in case I wasted the money. I then asked them to proceed and two days later the survey was arranged and all my documents were marked as accepted.

We received our offer yesterday - on working day 33. To all of you out there with an overdraft showing in the bank statements, don't panic, there is hope! My partner had an overdraft in the first 1.5 months out of the 3 we sent to Nationwide, which was our main concern during this long waiting period.
    Congratulations on your offer!
I’m petrified my partners old overdraft will be the nail in our coffin! It’s all paid off now and cancelled now so hopefully they’ll take everything else into account and understand why he was in the overdraft.
If you don’t mind my asking, what was your partners overdraft limit?

So they finally got my valuation booked in for today. I've not heard anything yet. Those of you who have had them already - did you get an email or text when the valuation was completed?
When did you submit your application?

Ours was submitted on 18th September, hard checks done on 28th September but not heard anything about a valuation yet.

    It’s proper stressful this! 🤣

Yeah its mad. And apparently the mortage broker had a proper stressful call to them and had to practically beg them to get it sorted! God knows what is going on but fingers crossed I'm getting closer now!
