So they finally got my valuation booked in for today. I've not heard anything yet. Those of you who have had them already - did you get an email or text when the valuation was completed?
When did you submit your application?

Ours was submitted on 18th September, hard checks done on 28th September but not heard anything about a valuation yet.

    It’s proper stressful this! 🤣
    The 5th august!
Good god!! That’s dreadful it took this long!
Yeah its mad. And apparently the mortage broker had a proper stressful call to them and had to practically beg them to get it sorted! God knows what is going on but fingers crossed I'm getting closer now!
Just got two texts in a row with valuation done and mortgage offer through! What a relief! Only took 46 working days 😂😬
After waiting for 9 weeks that’s fantastic news!! You must be so relieved! 😃😃

    Fantastic! Wonderful to hear
I'm glad this forum was here to keep me sane and know I wasn't alone!
So when was the first thing you heard about the valuation aspect?
Literally yesterday when they said it was booked for today. Other than being told by the mortage advisor a few weeks ago that that was the only thing that still needed doing.

Can someone advise what the mortgage consultants call is like?  Do they basically go through the same as when applying for the DIP and do you then know, as part of that conversation, if they are prepared to offer (with the caveat it will be based on the valuation which I knows comes later).  Or, do they just take down all the details and then you have to wait until the valuation etc (several weeks later on, from what I've read here) until you finally know whether they are actually going to make any sort of offer?   I've very little faith in the process and having had difficulty with the DIP,  I'm feeling quite anxious whilst waiting for my appointment which isn't until 20th October.

  • Was hoping someone could tell me how long it took from getting their mortgage offer text to receiving it through the post? Received my text 30/09 but still not had the paperwork through.

We got our text on 21 September. Our letter arrived on 1 October, so just over a week later. Hope this helps!

  • Hi all,

I have been watching this thread for a few weeks. Got my mortgage offer yesterday (85% LTV). Here is my timeline:

    15/09 - Application submitted
16/09 - Text stating valuation booked for 22/09
25/09 - Had information from the broker that it was undervalued by lender
25/09 - Hard search appeared on Credit Karma
26/09 - Negotiated with the seller a new price based on valuation
    08/10 - Offer issued,

Seems like a quick turn around compred to others - 17 working days!
