Green Homes Grant Scheme.
Total shambles telling one applicant that GHG cannot make amendments to errors - Then apologising to another and telling them that they CAN make amendments ?
I have now escalated my complaint - I won’t hold my breath !

I am quite certain I didnt make any errors in my application, and Ive sent them what they asked for, even though they have moved the goal posts about 10 times. Yet I still worry my application won't go through. Id be seriously annoyed if I had to re apply after months of hassle and waiting. It's quite disconcerting when you need the work done, and you aren't sure if you'll be able to afford it0 -
Hello.I have a query regarding this Green Home Grant. I own two properties, one I live in and one I rent out. Both could benefit from some of the things that this grant is meant to cover (suspended floor insulation and a new back door in one property and room in roof insulation in the rented property).I spoke to a Green Home Customer help person and they said I would need to apply separately for each property, but could therefore apply for the maximum of £5k for each property should that be required. The problem with that is that my understanding is that the grant for the secondary measure (the back door in this case) is capped at the grant amount given for the primary measure. As each house would be considered as a separate application, it would reduce the amount that I’d be able to get for the secondary measure.
For example, even if the total grant amount (combined) was £2k (£1k in each property) I’d only be able to get a grant of up to £1k for the secondary measure, whereas if I had the exact same amount of grant but only improved one house, I’d be able to get a larger grant for the secondary measure (up to £2k).Does anyone know if that’s the case and have been in a similar situation?Cheers0 -

Is your back door costing more than your floor insulation?0 -

I was just about to give up and re-apply. When something in my head told me to try contacting GHG one last time before doing so. The advisor this time told me that the process had now changed and that another team ( Admin) could make changes to applications, I knew this already but for some reason GHG where previously saying the Admin Team Cannot amend applications and that I should reapply.
Well long story short - After a few very strongly worded emails to GHG - My Installer and I have received notification that my application has been approved and vouchers Have been received.
As I stated before, I am not one to give up easily - however GHG did a damn good job at trying to break me - thank God I didn’t press the submit button and reapply !!
Good Luck to everyone who applies - I hope your journey to success is smoother, than mines has been. Wishing you all a successful outcome.
