I don't believe it's been mentioned on this thread but the National Audit Office compiled a report on this scheme from start to its almost completion rather interesting reading, in particular how the contract was setup and awarded to ICF, the actual government v original estimated figures, oh and the small matter that each each voucher cost over £1,000 in administration costs!

    report is under the 'downloads'

So it cost the taxpayer 5k to save me 1k at best, but with the added bonus I had to wait almost a year for the work and it is substandard?
  • The report is an interesting read. No wonder some of us had real problems to get the vouchers granted. I'm sure there was grant streams cause for the 2 adjoining properties I applied for one grant was issued fairly quickly and the second one took much longer with far many more questions to answer.

I could certainly give them some feedback.
  • Our grant was refused so we appealed, heard nothing. Does that mean it's not going to happen now?

Seems pretty bad since it was their endless delays that prevented us from getting it done on time.
  • They finally got back to us. They ran down the clock and can't issue a new voucher. It's bloody freezing and we can't afford to fix it.
