New Green Homes Grant to give up to £5,000 in vouchers for insulation and double-glazing

I'm astonished! 5 hours after this mornings 'phone I have the second voucher!! Clearly the long 'phone call and reminding the 'auditors' that they have already approved the higher cost voucher they have released the second one. All I can hope for now is that the installer can do the work but I'm expecting a price increase as the materials costs have gone up.

Will report back later on the voucher extension and any cost increase.

After going through the process of applying for a grant to replace our oil boiler which took 3 months, we were finally told we had the grant but it was only valid for a month. We requested an extension but they will only extend it until end of October and we have to apply for the extension nearer the end date of the voucher. This has been a total waste of time for us as the company who will install the Air Source heating system can’t do it until the end of November, and nobody else can do it before then either. I believe the government have closed this scheme because people were finally starting to use it.  So much for their commitment to carbon zero by 2030, looks like they’ll be doing a lot of carbon off setting!

I think they closed the scheme because it was being administered so badly that it would be a greater source of shame the longer it went on.

Finally received my door voucher!! Phoned the door company and was told they are no longer participating in the GHG. 
Does anyone know of a door and /or window company who are carrying out work under the GHG ? Thanks

Having waited two weeks for an answer from the installer they have replied telling me they are no longer participating in the scheme.

Such a let down. spent a day on the 'phone trying to find another company.

If you change the supplier you have to amend the voucher. Good luck with that

It is only a tick box survey but you get £10 for doing it

I can see loads called that in the UK, 3 local to me!  Where is yours based please as nobody I've tried yet is working on the GHG
