Hi fellow voucher - waiters like me. I had my usual chat with the GHG team. This time I was told something new which I thought I'd share with you. This is that there have been 63,000 applications for the vouchers. Apparently they have issued over 16,000 vouchers and have another 12,000 under review. Mine is apparently one of the 12,000. No timescales given but it gives me vague hope. I think mine is one of these 12,000 as it has been escalated to the 'escalation' team.2

I'm going to be so relieved to get the voucher, if I ever doGood luck0 -
Just rang them after 3 weeks since I sent my two forms of ID. Today I have been told these two forms of ID do not confirm property ownership lol, I sent the exact documents they requested last time. So I have now emailed them my copy of my Land registry. I questioned if they have been set up as a government department or outsourced, she couldn’t even answer that!I have no idea which systems they are checking to verify the information, as someone who has worked in many government departments its just a matter of doing a search , inputting the details and the information should be easily obtained and verified! Many departments information/data are linked!
The wait goes on ....1 -

Has anyone got any idea how to actually get them to issue the voucher? We applied on the day the scheme launched, we meet all the criteria and submitted every piece of information they asked for. 4 months later still nothing, we phone and chase 3 to 4 times a week and every person we speak to gives the same story, the application has been reviewed, they don’t know what the hold up is they will chase. Then nothing happens. To make matters worse our supplier has told us they have other clients who have been issued their voucher in less than 3 weeks.1

My Air Source Heat Pump has been installed, relevant paper work handed over and I have redeemed the voucher before the expiry date. Fingers crossed everything goes to plan from here and my installer gets paid promptly. Had it running for 3 days and very pleased with it so far. In my opinion its totally worth doing, but this job was a huge undertaking and anyone thinking of applying to switch from Gas to an ASHP or GSHP needs to really understand what they are taking on.

But I did get an email just now :
"Further to your recent correspondence we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding following your application to the Green Homes Grant Scheme.
We have reviewed your application and we can confirm we have received additional supporting documentation, and this has been uploaded to the system. Your application will now continue through the quality review process. "
It just means nothing, I'm in the same position as I was 3 months ago! Waiting and hoping. And then what if they decide to reject the application? Then we have to appeal and wait more, or start again. Installers are booked up for many months, and at some point the grant money runs out.I have no issue if they reject my application if its not valid or if there are issues. But give me a chance to correct it. I was told months ago that we'd be able to manage our applications on an online portal, which hasn't happened. Its such a shame how incompetent our government seems to be at almost everything!Rant over, sorry1 -
I made a complaint and I now have a case number as well as an application number. Has anyone else got a case number?1
