I received the Xmas eve email and fortunately had a more detailed quote that I sent back the same evening. Today I received the following email

Sounds very positive. Let us know when you get your vouchers. I'm still waiting (fair enough as it's holiday season) for my installer to provide a breakdown of the quote. Hopefully they can get onto it on Tuesday 🤞mpet said:I received the Xmas eve email and fortunately had a more detailed quote that I sent back the same evening. Ghg is not covering replacement gas boilers. The only option is to replace with a heat source pump or something which is quite expensive to install. But some on this forum are doing so is it may be worth checking the option out. Be aware there is an Eco scheme running which does replace boilers for lower cost for households who receive certain benefits. If your house could do with any of the primary insulation components such as loft or wall or flat roof insulation it may be worth considering applying for that on the green homes grant scheme and in parallel applying for the boiler upgrade via the Eco scheme. Last time I looked Eon were still doing this. You don't have to be an Eon customer.quattros said:Merry Xmas all , I am looking into applying for this scheme , I did the initial eligibility check and as one of my family member is disabled and receiving benefits we may be eligible for the 10k , So is the process I have to find someone using the Gov site tradesmen register to get quotes and the submit the quotes and then would receive a reply from them. Btw I did see the boiler one said not on GHG grant as ours is an old boiler and could do with replacing we are based in Birmingham anybody had much luck with companies?2 -
I completed the City Energy EDF Green Homes Grant Registration months ago and have not had anything back from them - no confirmation, nothing. Wanting dormer flat roofs insulation front and back, and inside doors replaced.
Anyone else with experience of the City Energy EDF Green Homes Grant Registration?

They called me 3 times last week wanting more info, even though on the first 2 occasions I told them I'd already gone with someone else!condoghost said:I completed the City Energy EDF Green Homes Grant Registration months ago and have not had anything back from them - no confirmation, nothing. I had an email from my potential installer today. They’re mortified that many people who chose them have been told the quotations are too high.
They’ve been on the phone for dats trying to sort it out with Green Homes Grant. They’ve been in business over 60 years and have trained and taken on more people to do the Green Grant work.
What a shambles!
I have heard nothing at all from Green Grant since the weird email saying they needed to know how many hours my work would take.1 -

My installer which is a major UK installer apparently have been in touch with GHG about the high quote explanations request and have agreed for all customers to send this paragraph they have devised to them, so I have done that today so hopefully will get a voucher soon!1

What was the paragraph if you don't mind sharing? Be interesting to see what responses people are getting from their installers. You can hide the installers name if you feel that's appropriate. Thanks.Aauk25 said:My installer which is a major UK installer apparently have been in touch with GHG about the high quote explanations request and have agreed for all customers to send this paragraph they have devised to them, so I have done that today so hopefully will get a voucher soon!1 -
Yeah I'd also be interested to know, as my installers have given me a reasonable detailed quote and GHG have said its too high. I dont know what to even ask my installer for, as it explains everything in the quote!Aauk25 said:My installer which is a major UK installer apparently have been in touch with GHG about the high quote explanations request and have agreed for all customers to send this paragraph they have devised to them, so I have done that today so hopefully will get a voucher soon!1
