I applied on day 1, Had email at 21.30 today (Christmas Eve) they can't verify me, send 2 ID's via email address within 30 days.
Do these people only work on holidays and have they been on their festive drinks, appears the case when they are slow and asking for silly info, I mean I've only lived here for 15 years.2 -

They couldn't verify home ownership so they want proof in the form of a mortgage statement or property deed.
Also, the quote is higher than average so they want an explanation from the installer! You can get a copy of the deeds online from the Land Registry.Don't be fooled by the many websites offering to get them for you and charging £20 or more for the 'service', go direct to the Government website:

Got my voucher for loft insulation the other day. I reckon the quote was about twice market rate but the end result is that I'll be paying the same as the materials would cost me to DiY. It needs doing and saves me a day of crawling around the attic.2

Same email received here. ‘Quote higher than expected’ 9.30 on Christmas Eve - the cynic in me is thinking they sent out a bulk mailing to buy themselves more time.
Fortunately my chosen company had already sent me a more detailed quote, so I was able to reply straight away.1 -
yeah I got the same email, asking for ID and saying my quote was too high. The weird thing is they already asked for ID about two weeks ago which I sent them 4 pieces or recent valid bills/ID! So no idea why they are asking again.Secondly, they said my quote for EWI was too high, but they didnt mention the internal insulation on the quote, and the fact the roof was being extended instead of just a verge trim. Its as if they hadn't looked at the quote properly or looked at the ID I already sent them. Its crazy, Ive been jumping through hoops for months as they move the goal posts, I've contacted them loads, they say wait a few weeks. Such a waste of time, and I wonder if I'll ever get my vouchers0

When you sent the bills , can you just send page 1 of your bill showing name address or does it have to be all pages?0

Merry Xmas all , I am looking into applying for this scheme , I did the initial eligibility check and as one of my family member is disabled and receiving benefits we may be eligible for the 10k , So is the process I have to find someone using the Gov site tradesmen register to get quotes and the submit the quotes and then would receive a reply from them. Btw I did see the boiler one said not on GHG grant as ours is an old boiler and could do with replacing we are based in Birmingham anybody had much luck with companies?0
