Halifax Valuation Timeline/ Underwriter

We’re having our physical valuation this morning on the property we’re buying. How quickly do you hear back?

The surveying company told me it would take about 1-2 days for the bank to receive the valuation. They ended up getting it the same day the survey was carried out and my offer was issued later that day. Although I only found that out when I rang Halifax for an update. My mortgage offer was sent via post and took over a week to arriveFLB2796 said:We’re having our physical valuation this morning on the property we’re buying. How quickly do you hear back?

My application only took about a week to get accepted in June.
Was due to exchange last week...final credit check from Halifax flagged up a "notice of correction" I'd added a few weeks ago to my Experian file.
That resulted in my application automatically going back to pre-offer and getting sent to underwriters for "review and re-offer"........frustrating to say the least but my credit situation has actually improved since June so I'm pretty confident they'll just re-offer and let me exchange contracts.0 -
We applied direct with Halifax on Monday 21st, and paid for the valuation. I spoke to Halifax yesterday to get an update on the valuation has been completed and our offer was sent on 26th which we are waiting to receive in the post.
Very surprised at how quickly it has gone!

Have you heard anything yet? Ours has gone to the underwriter because a down valuation and a change of LTVgje943 said:My application only took about a week to get accepted in June.

My current Timeline:
21st September- MIP received with credit checks via Halifax
6th October- Application sent
7th October- Request for most recent bank statement and payslips
9th October- Request for Employment history
9th October- A notice that valuation has been booked for the 15th October
I hope this means the application is now subject to valuation...
I'm so nervous as we have already received a rejection from Barclays for not fitting their 'criteria'
We are using HTB and Husband is Self-employed

Ooo let me know how you get on. It seems you're a week ahead of us as we went with Barclay's first and then got rejected.JayNM said:Similar here:

Super impressed with Halifax timeline. DH self employed, I had a vodafone default which is 2 years old, 1 year settled but under £250, my credit rating isnt great. We had aip declined by halifax with 2 different brokers but it was approved when i tried direct.
Application was done 21st Sept, case handling needed another one of my pay slips which they asked for a week later, our product fee was taken on the 5th at 3.30pm and was sent to the underwriters that evening. Apparently we were fully approved and went to offer on the Friday. Paperwork should arrive today or tomorrow at the latest. For a self employed main applicant and not great credit 2nd applicant mid Covid I'm happy enough with that timeline, 3 weeks or thereabouts.0
