Had a bit of a faff with Halifax last few days, they never told the broker they wanted my partners' letter sent to them directly from her employer. Only found out yesterday, so sent that today.
Broker has assured me that Halifax have no further queries and as soon as the letter is verified we will go to offer.
Will keep you posted

We received our offer this morning. 3 weeks turnaround, very good.0 -
I have a mortgage application with Halifax through a broker. Valuation was done a month ago and I am still waiting for offer. I am self employed. Is this normal? Many thanks0

I’m so glad you got your offer. Our story is pretty much a mirror image of yours. We also got our offer on Monday, I’m over the moon it felt like forever!Minnie82 said:Super impressed with Halifax timeline. DH self employed, I had a vodafone default which is 2 years old, 1 year settled but under £250, my credit rating isnt great. We had aip declined by halifax with 2 different brokers but it was approved when i tried direct.
Application was done 21st Sept, case handling needed another one of my pay slips which they asked for a week later, our product fee was taken on the 5th at 3.30pm and was sent to the underwriters that evening. Apparently we were fully approved and went to offer on the Friday. Paperwork should arrive today or tomorrow at the latest. For a self employed main applicant and not great credit 2nd applicant mid Covid I'm happy enough with that timeline, 3 weeks or thereabouts. The biggest stress I had was 2 brokers declining us, I’m glad I bit the bullet and went direct.1 -
Just that nothing else is needed from me and he’s waiting for Halifax to make the next move. I made my original application over 2 months ago. It took about a month before the valuation was done, and now another month has passed with no offer...JayNM said:

That's amazing, congratulations! It's a massive relief isnt it. Really is bizarre about the brokers though. Although one of the girls at Halifax did tell me sometimes they just dont want to accept brokers applications!! Not helpful but I'm also glad I went direct.FLB2796 said:

I'd be getting your broker to phone them, whenever I spoke w/ my broker they phoned Halifax and it was resolved there and then.topdrog90 said:
