Halifax Valuation Timeline/ Underwriter

Hi All,
Just wondering where other people are with Halifax,
Timeline below:
I know there is probably a big back log from covid, but reading these threads its seams like it is quite varied.
We are doing HTB 20% equity loan, 75% LTV -
Do you think it is possible that they have already given this to the underwriters / or will that only happen once the valuation is done.
Its been almost 2 weeks now since valuation was instructed, fingers crossed it will be soon.
I spoke to our MA today and he said that there was still no update,
If any of you have any timelines or information for me, would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Just wondering where other people are with Halifax,
Timeline below:
- 26th Property address keyed
- 28th DIP Received
- 29th Full Application sent in
- 29th Valuation Instructed

I should also mentioned! that on the 29th June there was 2 Hard Searches done, and 1 Soft affordability search completed.
Not sure if that helps anyone.,. but yeah0 -
Hi, new to the forum and just wanted to give a scale of my timeline for a Halifax mortgage -
Mon 6th July 2020 - rang halifax direct and got an agreement in principle there and then - mortgage advisor gave us an hour to read through and make sure we were happy with everything, all OK.
He rang back as he said he would an hour later and we did a full application, and paid for valuation.
Wednesday 8th July 2020 - uploaded payslips as requested.
Friday 10th july 2020 - this morning I uploaded the last document they requested and about 10 mins later we had an email - Thanks for choosing us to help you with your mortgage. We are pleased to tell you that your application has been approved.Your Mortgage Offer has been posted to you and your solicitor. You will get this in the next few days. Please read the documents to make sure they meet your needs. You should keep them for your own records.
Overall very impressed with how quick and professional halifax have been.
I just want to add that I first approached L and C and was messed around so decided to go direct, I'm glad I did.

Seem to have stalled at the valuation process. Our MA says that application is being assessed by underwriters but a valuation date has not been given yet, which is really frustrating. The process seems to have all gone a million miles an hour and then just came to a halt, whilst we are waiting for valuation to be booked.0 -

how long has your valuation been pending for? and you are doing HTB/FTB?

We are First Time Buyers on London H2B - valuation has been pending since 25th June...I can fully imagine valuations are delayed due to location of the property (N.London).0

From what I know if you’re doing HTB - they will issue normal valuation unless someone have bought from this lender a property on this development within 28 days from you application ( but that’s Barclays )
hint : call you developer as they will know as soon as they book the valuation. ( my broker “is checking” on the valuation and my sales manager called me last weeks that they booked it for this Friday .So I have a week but apparently they issue an offer soon after . Now let’s hope that the valuation will be ok.I presume you have ATP from help to buy ?0 -

This is a small development with 8 other 2-3 bed properties, i checked with the developer/ estate agents we are dealing with and he has said that they were yet to commit to a time, they did in fact reach out to them but they didn't confirm a time...?!?
Yes the ATP from HTB was approved on 25th June, we did this before we went ahead with our Full Halifax application.
Good luck this week, sure it will all be fine.0 -

Hello, I'm new too but thought I'd provide my timeline in case it's of any help.
26th June - Initially got in touch with Habito and submitted payslips, ID etc
29th June - Application submitted and paid for valuation
30th June - offer came through (assuming they did a desktop valuation)
It was much faster than I was expecting, however my buyer's survey took place on 26th June and we still haven't heard back (the lender is Natwest).
