Hi Jazmin - my valuation by Halifax was last week, 2 days after full application. I have been told (as of last Friday) that we are now in queue for underwriting and there is a wait of around a week. I desperately trying to be paitient and not chase broker until tomorrow! Our valuation was online so maybe a bit different to your situation...0

Hi Tilly,
thanks for the insight.
We waited over 2 weeks from 29th June for the valuation to actually get booked, On Tuesday the valuation was finally booked for a Physical one today. This morning they went and it has already been completed, but i am unsure now when we will hear back..
lets see..

lets see..Always find comparables. You can ask, but you won’t always get what you want.

Update Peeps!
Right, had the evaluation done super early this morning, spoke to the developer mid afternoon and he said that it was done already. So i do the most normal thing possible and sent a message to our MA. he said he didn't hear anything, then 2 hours later we received from him the Valuation report from Halifax.
Good news, we got the full asking price and gave the evaluator gave 100% percent interest into the property.
I guess there was usual comments like, new build stuff, and that in the future about saleabilty, but nothing crazy.
Then our MA sent us another message, and he received this from Halifax at about 19.00 this evening, i believe this email meant that Halifax has reviewed the valuation and processed in on the system. This email said that they confirmed and that they were pleased to say the full asking price will be available.
It also mentioned that the valuer has made some additional comments on the report, and they will contact the MA once they have been reviewed and provide any next steps. i think this is just about service charge.. nothing to worry about the MA said.
He said that tomorrow fingers crossed the full offer should come and then we can get it touch with the solicitors and get the ball moving super fast and agree a completion date
@watch3r Good luck tomorrow, and i am sure it will all go fine
@fackers_2 - How did it go for you...?

Mortgage got accepted this evening following a valuation via Halifax. The longest part was the underwriters looking at my self employed solo status. But all fine and sailed through using a broker. Such a relief!Always find comparables. You can ask, but you won’t always get what you want.

ooh nice ! so do you have to wait for the offer in the post for it to all be done..or did Halifax send it all over email?
Have you made plans to figure out a completion date with your solicitor?0 -

Good morning guys. Anyone has had an offer made by Halifax, and have in the special condition the requirement of an EWS1 form to be given to the conveyancer? What I find odd is that at the time of the evaluation, the surveyor said that the EWS1 form is not needed. As well as this, Halifax confirmed (prior to issuing the offer) that such form is not needed.
Lastly, I called Halifax and they also confirmed again that it’s not needed, but the special condition is still in the offer. I’m very worried that I exchange contracts and they won’t release the funds on completion >.<.0
