Got my offer in 7 days... Offer came to broker yesterday.Els100 said:
We have had an offer in 9 days which is amazing considering. All the best in getting an offer.dpenney22 said:I am at week 5 with Halifax. Had my valuation done 2 weeks ago and all was fine, no more has been asked from me apart from the initial documents on week 1. Mortgage broker just keeps saying "there are delays for everyone" which is very frustrating because 2.5 weeks since valuation and nothing else being asked.. I don't know what the wait is really?

Unless yours is a difficult case or your are self employed, I would suspect you MB is not really on top of it...dpenney22 said:I am at week 5 with Halifax. I was having that feeling with mine and then decided to go direct. Good luck!

Application resubmitted a 2nd time and been back with Halifax underwriters since 03/09, broker has said to expect 5-6 working days so hopefully by the end of the week I'll have an outcome.
Underwriters flagged credit discrepancies 1st time round with credit on my file that hadn't updated yet. Sent all the evidence that it's been paid, broker resubmitted and Halifax accepted the application but it goes automatically to the underwriters as it had been flagged 1st time round. My broker reckons the fact Halfax have accepted the 2nd application can only be a good thing as all the underwriters flagged was the credit discrepancy which we've now sent evidence of... fingers crossed.First Time Buyer

I'm in my 2nd lot of underwriting with Halifax and have been told I should know by the end of this week, which will be 4 weeks in total. Only had the hard searches the day or 2 after initial application and nothing since. Nerve wracking!sofsar said:
