    Thanks all for the advice.
Is there people that have ignored at my stage and then not heard anything else?
will I get more  letters after the 30 days have passed scaremonging again?
    will it progress to court?

is there a thread I can read up on regarding this stage?

    Stop......
Ive already advised you on this particular parking company so not sure why you havent read this....
No point people giving good (and correct) advice for it to then be ignored.

I suggest you re read what i (and otherd) have advised and you will realise your additional questions are not relevant

Sorry 😞 didn’t mean to make you angry, I’m new here and have read loads of threads and it gets very confusing, and also it’s a worrying situation. And I wasn’t ignoring!!!!

Not angry but the advice was very straight forward and to the point. You can put the matter to bed.

@Devgirl21 please don't confuse a short or curt answer as someone being angry at you. The regulars on here, in particular those with the expertise to deal with all this contract law deal with hundreds of these types of questions every day, in their own free time.

What everyone here expects from the victims of these scams is to do some homework and not expect all the advice to be handed to them on a plate. We are continually telling readers to "read, re-read and read again the Newbies/FAQ thread" ad nauseum. It may appear to be overwhelming at first because it is. There is a mountain of information because this is not a simple subject to deal with.

Many users of the forum come here after using outdated, simple advice, to ignore anything to do with PCNs and then expect a quick fix to their problem. The regulars can be overwhelmed by this attitude and hence the short/curt answers which point the user to the advice already given or where to find it for themselves.

So, look up the meaning of "curt" and please try and thicken your skin to the apparent "anger" or "rudeness" and accept that everyone here is trying to help you but you also need to help yourself.

Assuming that Smart will not proceed to court is an assumption. They have done in the past and probably lost but who knows when they will do it again. CST Law is not their best option but there are other so called legals they can use

The procedure is that after a letter of claim, if ignored, they can follow this through with a court claim ... they may or may not, we simply don't know.
The purpose of the PAP and (LETTER BEFORE CLAIM) is to give you the opportunity to rebut / deny their claim and ask questions.
One important question is for CST to explain the fake add-on they applied.  As i said before, CST will not respond because they know it's a fake and in court they will have to explain to a judge the fakery.

Once CST know that you know about the fake they would be very foolish to proceed further so it is wise to respond to the letter before claim and not just ignore it.

The other year I helped one member in our local court, it was another legal faking it and despite asking them in writing to explain, they also ignored. The judge asked the rep did he know about this, answer was NO ... The Judge said to the rep ..."this is not going well for you is it" and dismissed the case awarding costs of £95

In a couple of months I will be in court with another member and the very same has happened, the legal ignored. This together with a signage problem, we will win but I want to go one step further with the statement of truth and who signed it because it was NOT TRUE
Sadly, I suspect that this case will be discontinued and I will not get my chance

I am not a Lay rep basically because this is not rocket science

True but it is known that these single ticket cases for this operator wont lead to a court claim.
Anything they do will make no difference to a case which isnt going anywhere.

Fully aware of that, it's up to the OP who is already in distress over this
