    Do you need a SAR? i.e. have you already got the PCN and letters because you kept them, as you should have done?

    If not, send a SAR if you want.

    PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Yes I have the PCN and all letters from DRP and CST that have been sent up to the one I posted from CST for the LBC

    No point in a SAR then.

    Just ignore CST Law.  No claim will come from them for a single PCN case; it's all about scaremongering.

    I think people get too obsessed with getting a SAR, which is only useful if you don't have the letters or reckon you haven't seen all their photos.

    Sorry to be a pain it’s just very hard to digest when reading up in so much. So ignore my letter before claim too is the advice?

    Drives me mad!  A SAR is nothing at all...!

    Useful only:

    (a). as a delaying tactic if you need it, such as if trying to time out a six year old claim;

    (b). if you have none of the letters or have reason to wish to see all photos; or

    (c). if there's something you want to expose, such as a double dip or a payment made with the right VRM.

    Otherwise, it's neither here nor there really and some cases (UKPC or any DCBLegal case) are obviously better NOT getting a SAR before defence, given the wording we use in defence.

    We've recently seen victims using the SAR as part of their defence or even failing to file their defence on time because they were waiting for a SAR to come back. Maybe needs highlighting next time the Newbies FAQ thread is updated that it is only needed for the reasons stated above by @Coupon-mad.

    Thanks all for the advice.
    Is there people that have ignored at my stage and then not heard anything else?
    will I get more  letters after the 30 days have passed scaremonging again?
    will it progress to court?

    is there a thread I can read up on regarding this stage?
