    Second Anniversary First Post

Hello All. I'm new to this forum so thank you for accepting a newbie.  Shorty story, I have a parking fine from DRP which is daylight robery - 100£ for a 3 min parking in a residential area with no proper signage. My appeal to then has been rejected.

Now, I have just received a Reminder notice from CST Law asking me to pay the debt I own their client - DRP. What shall I do now? Wait for the Letter before Claim? Thank you in advance.

The fools are at it again ??? asking you pay DRP the sewer living people

CST and DRP are just bed fellows and the parking charge has nothing to do with DRP

Only the parking company can instruct a legal and DRP are not a legal.

DRP are not 'clients' of CST (they are both from the same stable: Bristow & Sutor) and the creditor in the alleged contract is not DRP.

    A worthless frightener letter.

Just ignore it, as the fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains.

  • Like so many others on this thread I have received this letter from CST Law. For starters, it was receieved today, 8th December, even though it is dated 25th November, with a cut off date of 9th December, leaving me no time to respond.

Then absolutely no information regarding the apparent offence or any dates/times/location, just my reg and a price tag of £170. Having read through this thread and the newbie thread I believe I can just ignore this letter as it isn't an LBC yet, but am I best requesting a SAR from the parking company? I don't know the reference for the apparent PCN as it hasn't been included in this letter.

Just ignore it - debt collector drivel. Come back on a new thread of your own if you receive a formal Letter Of/Before Claim, or a County Court Claim from the Northampton CCBC.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

This is so similar to the conduct of DCB Ltd who are reportedly sending out letters allegedly *pretending* to be from their legal arm, DCB Legal but telling people NOT to contact DCB Legal because they won't respond...because the letter isn't from them:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6409476/dcb-legal-letter#latest

This looks extremely similar to the conduct of Wonga, who were investigated by the MET Police. The only difference here (and with DCB) is that the solicitor is real.

But IMHO, the letter is obviously not from who it says it is.  And of course their client (DRPLUS) cannot sue you - because they are not the creditor - and nor is this a 'debt'.

It's just a series of 'frightener' invoices.

It is cheaper to ignore the likes of parking DRAs and await a court claim and defend it properly, because 99% of cases here end in discontinuance or a win for the consumer and the risk of losing is minimal and would NOT include the false added £70 (if you argued against it properly and the Judge wasn't a loon).  Nothing risked as long as you don't ignore an actual court claim, or move house and not tell the PPC.

Thanks for posting this picture; I will send this to the Government because this sort of misleading crap should have been left behind years ago, when Roxburghe (Gary Osner's old firm, banned by the OFT from renewing their credit licence) stopped sending out fake Graham White Solicitors letters.

    Forum regulars will recall:
    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=54362

Of course Gary O's phoenix firm 'ZZPS' linked up with Wright Hassall (QDR Solicitors) and also reportedly send out letters that *look like a legal firm is instructed* when the evidence we've seen, suggests that no legal firm has in fact been instructed by the Claimant PPC.

Same old same old. They are all at it, so it appears from these letters.

I'll raise this accordingly with the Government because it must stop.

A well recognised DRP stunt. They used to issue similar letters using Gladstones letterheads, which now seem to have dried up.

  • After CST (CREDIT STYLE) tried to scam Scotland with rubbish UKPC cases, they have become the biggest joke and still fail to understand that their bed fellow DRP ARE THE BIGGEST JOKE ever to hit the UK streets .... along of course with ZZPS

WE NEED at least one of these fakers and Wonga copycats to be  issued with a huge fine. We can start the ball rolling by sending copies of such letters to the FCA/OFT and the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities
Whoever they select to fine, maybe all of them, this rubbish will stop

And at the same time, as these people ARE members of the BPA, ask DLUHC why they have a so called Accredited company allowing their members to scam the public with fakery .... that's the BPA who seem to be fast asleep

  • Hi there guys!

Yes, I’m a newbie in need of someone’s knowledgable advice! I actually find myself getting a bit lost in these forums so if I’m breaking rules or I should be posting else where, please let me know.

After receiving a parking fine of £100 from MET Parking Services LTD, I thought the best idea was to ignore it as I thought may get bored and go away like they’ve done previously.
However I’ve received a few letters from CST Law (I’ve heard these are cowboys) over the past few months and received one a few days ago stating it’s a “Letter before claim” and the fine has gone up to £170.

Could one of you amazing members either help me out on where to start or send me in the direction of some good advice/help?

I’m sorry if I’ve missed information out, let me know if you need to know anything else!

Many thanks to everyone, we need to work together to take down these cowboys!
