Yay Congratulations! 🎉 ours is this week too 🤞NatNat77 said:The valuation was being carried out at the house we're buying today and to my surprise santander have text and emailed this afternoon to say the valuation has been confirmed and our offer will be sent to us, I thought after seeing the last few posts we might have had to wait but we didn't go through a broker. Hope you all get some good news soon too!0 -
Thank you, I hope so! All this waiting makes me nervous 😬 haha xxMeh123 said:
That’s a good sign, means they’re actually looking at your application and it’s in front of someone! We only applied a couple of days after you and have been told it’ll be the end of the month before anyone looks at ours!! Being asked about head offices is pretty normal if they’re a distance away from where you live, just give them the answer and hopefully you’ll have an outcome soon!helpmegodplease said:It’s so strange, we just got asked about the location of my husbands head office to our home, nothing else as of yet1 -
Can anyone confirm if Santander have a backlog at all? People buying the house we’re selling put application in on 8th October and still haven’t heard anything0

YUP!!! They’re not lying to you! We put ours in 3.5 weeks ago and haven’t got to the top of the UW queue yet!! It all depends on different circumstances but Santander 100% have a backlog of applications. It’s to do with the stamp duty break in England and also other providers pulling products so there weren’t as many options for people as normal.Rach7379 said:Can anyone confirm if Santander have a backlog at all? Thanks for that we were getting a bit concerned as we agreed the sale of the house on 6th July and thought they were pulling our legs about how long it was takingMeh123 said:

Ahhh that is a long time since offer but yes, Santander are backlogged, there’s 99 pages of backlog misery just on this thread haha some are getting through quickly but the bulk of them are between 6-8 weeks. We’ve not had any kind of update from Santander since they sent us a text on the 18th October to say they’d received our application....it feels like a lifetime ago!Rach7379 said:Thanks for that we were getting a bit concerned as we agreed the sale of the house on 6th July and thought they were pulling our legs about how long it was taking0 -
