Santander mortgage timeline

Wonder when I will hear about ours!

Have you had your valuation done already? For my last application in November we got the text the same day the valuation was done, I've seen others on this thread more recently have to wait a few days though while others have heard the same day. Santander can't book our valuation until our application is approved as the system won't allow it apparently. But I know for some it is done before, I'm not sure if it's because we have to pay for our valuations due to being existing customers that it's done after?Chi37 said:
we are waiting for valuation. do you know how long take for valuation and offer? timeline is yet to update on my record..not sure they will stick to this timeline though!NatNat77 said:
I applied direct as we're porting our mortgage. I had a call from them a little while ago and my heart sank lol. But they said they're happy with hubby's income now, from what the accountant supplied, but the underwriter wanted to knock 2k off hubby's dividends due to projected earnings which would take our income multiple from just under 5 to just over, meaning a reduction of 7k in what they'd lend. We'd happily live with that but because when I applied in March I only had a contract, rather than a payslip (I started my new job in the same department on 1 March) they'd only counted my previous income and I earn 6k a year more now. So I've submitted my payslip and hopefully we'll get final approval really soon!kathrynproost said:
Did you apply direct or though a broker?NatNat77 said:Ours went to the underwriters first thing last Weds the 12th and we were told we'd hear from them in 7 working days, so I'm hoping by the end of today or tomorrow as I can't take much more 🙏
I'll update this thread so you'll have an idea if they mean what they say lol
Feel like I can breathe a bit now 😂 although we'll still have the valuation to go.
Hopefully it means the timescales they're quoting are accurate for everyone too xx
If you've already had it done you should hear soon, unless it hasn't been to the underwriters yet x0 -
Ah fab! Congratulations xxkathrynproost said:MA says fully approved by underwriters and offer to follow! Been set up with an online tracker for enact. A huge relief. Hope everyone else hears soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻1 -
I still haven’t heard anything... anyone else still waiting to hear who have been with underwriters since the 17th?0

Ours were with underwriters from 14th - 21st if it helps. They are definitely not sticking to the published service levels. It was 7 days in total so maybe you’ll hear on or before Tuesday?Kirkii27 said:I still haven’t heard anything... anyone else still waiting to hear who have been with underwriters since the 17th?0 -
Hopefully! It’s driving me mental. It’s a private sale we are doing so the lady who we are buying the house off has found a property. I just hope we get accepted this time again but got a feeling we won’t

I've just had an email from santander to say offer approved subject to valuation! Most of the underwriting had been done I just had to submit a new payslip on Thursday. It still went back in the queue though as I was emailed yesterday saying we'd hear within 7 working days, same as last time. But it shows they're definitely working at weekends!1

Thank you! Feel like we've made some real progress this week 😂 we have a complete chain again now and there's only 4 of us and our sellers don't need a mortgage. We might, just might, make the deadline 🤞🤞0
