Just to keep you guys updated on how things are going with me.
Draft contracts have been received by solicitors now. Searches are underway, 3 have come back already, just waiting on the rest.
Hoping there isn't many enquiries! Hoping I can complete by June or early July latest ...
Aww how exciting, hope it goes smoothly for u, good luck 🤞
Thank you! Got until 31st of August to complete. No chain either side, and no rush as stamp is exempt. Hoping we can complete by then.
Looks like yours will now motor on also!

Hope so we got till 30th September but the house is going through probate so I’m hoping that won’t be to long, just got off phone to my solicitor and Santander have just sent our mortgage offer to them. Feels as if we moving a bit now, there’s a little hold up as the vendor lives overseas and didn’t know she needed 2 forms of ID so hopefully now thats in the post on it’s way to the solicitors and can hopefully start searches 🤞🤞🤞

  • Hi everyone :)
I have an FTB 90% application in at the moment via a broker. Submitted on 06/05, hard search done 06/05, valuation done on 13/05, valuation back at asking price 14/05,  additional documents requested and submitted 18/05
I got one email from Santander this whole time when the application was submitted saying it had been received. I have since received nothing directly, only questions via my broker.
Did any of you guys still get email/text updates if going through a broker?
I am assuming it is with the underwriters now but not sure whether I would get a notification myself saying this.
Any info would be appreciated, thank you :)

We used a broker the only time we got update from Santander was when the application went in and when the offer was used everything else came through the broker

    Hi All
We got a DIP on 6th May, applied in full via our broker on the 7th May, had valuation on 14th May (last Friday) the suspense of this is insane I just want to know if it’s going to be accepted or not! Because we have done it via a broker we don’t get the online updates, generally how soon after valuations does it take to hear back? Many thanks.
Our was complete within  2 weeks application went in on the 28th April offered was sent out on the 12th may

Anyone recently had a self employed mortgage approved or going through it now? We applied 12 days ago, have had a valuation and have not heard anything! Just wondering how long things take when self employed lately and is it really tricky to get approved?

I am! I've posted recently in this thread about it, we haven't even got to valuation stage yet and ours has been ongoing since early March but we should be hearing something from the underwriters this week hopefully. It seems Santander are being really picky with the self employed at the moment :(
