  • I am losing the will to live with it all now.  It’ll be 6 weeks on Monday since my application went in - sailed through the AIP and the valuation with no questions.  It’s only now that it’s in front of the underwriters that the questions have come.  Three days in a row I have been answering questions about my income and bonuses etc. along with a letter from my boss about how my bonuses work and when they are paid.  At least they are now looking at the responses the same day or the next day,  I get a sense that they are generally being very very cautious right now and in all honesty I’m preparing myself for a decline!

Oh no! You should be positive, i'm sure it will all work out
Hopefully you'll have a response soon, 6 weeks is a really long time. We are only a week and a bit in, it's going to be hard to be patient for 6 weeks if that's the case. Did you instruct your solicitor in that time as well or wait till you get your mortgage offer?

Six weeks Tuesday for us. Not sure how much longer I can keep sane for with it now.

No I instructed my solicitor but the house builder is paying the bill.

Morning everyone! We had our application submitted on the 22nd October and haven't heard a peep yet from Santander so presuming everything is okay so far. My partner is SE and took the SEISS help (although this was for a second side gig business, actual business wasn't affected). Has anyone got any experience with Santander and their approach to the SEISS help taken, do they penalize for it?
We submitted our application on 21-Sep. So far they have requested additional payslips which our MA already had & valuation was yesterday. Haven’t heard anything else yet. We aren’t self employed though so can’t help with that

Oh right I see! Yes maybe our case will delay things. How did you know they had done the valuation?

Our case isn’t straightforward either. Our mortgage advisor told us on Tuesday (same day they asked for extra payslips) that the valuation was booked for yesterday.

Ah okay, our mortgage advisor is just going by the Santander website and said it’ll be a wait for underwriters. No idea about valuation. Probably watching the clocks doesn’t help should probably try to focus on other things (like work!). Well let me know how you get on!
  • We also applied on September 21, we haven't been asked for anything extra at this stage but it has entered the UW queue and the valuation has been instructed.
Just got to sit tight now I think!

Oh that's good! Are you a straight forward case? I've asked our MB whether a valuation has been booked in
