Yes and no. I have been furloughed but I'm not now and company was putting X amount to top salary up during furlough.IMsaver said:
Oh that's good! Are you a straight forward case? I've asked our MB whether a valuation has been booked inMatthewB21 said:We also applied on September 21, we haven't been asked for anything extra at this stage but it has entered the UW queue and the valuation has been instructed.
Just got to sit tight now I think!
Had a letter from Director of company to say I am secure in my job etc that might have helped speed things up slightly as I know some people in this thread have struggled to get one of those from their company's when Santander have asked.0 -
Our valuation was a month after application then got the offer a week exactly a week after the valuation took place.xNaomi said:
Our case isn’t straightforward either. Our mortgage advisor told us on Tuesday (same day they asked for extra payslips) that the valuation was booked for yesterday.IMsaver said:
Oh right I see! Yes maybe our case will delay things. How did you know they had done the valuation?xNaomi said:
We submitted our application on 21-Sep. So far they have requested additional payslips which our MA already had & valuation was yesterday. Haven’t heard anything else yet. We aren’t self employed though so can’t help with thatIMsaver said:Morning everyone! We had our application submitted on the 22nd October and haven't heard a peep yet from Santander so presuming everything is okay so far. My partner is SE and took the SEISS help (although this was for a second side gig business, actual business wasn't affected). Has anyone got any experience with Santander and their approach to the SEISS help taken, do they penalize for it?0 -
Ah i see. Yes that's good you have the letter as i also saw some similar posts about people not being able to secure the letter. I'm sure you'll be fine, fingers and toes crossed!MatthewB21 said:

Like you said previously, the worst bit is it's all you can think about and just want it sorted so you can focus on other things!0 -
Urgh i know. My partner is cool as cucumber and i'm...well...not very cool haha! Have just resigned ourselves to thinking that if we don't get the offer then we'll wait till next year and it wasn't meant to be, that's all you can do reallyMatthewB21 said:

That's exactly what we've said, if they don't give us the mortgage then that house just isn't meant to be ours sort of thing.IMsaver said:

I am coming round to the same way of thinking. I think the news is imminent for me now - they’ve responded to our replies to questions and documents the same day every day and I have not had any feedback since I clarified the last query on income so fingers crossed. If it doesn’t go through, I’m going to buy a ridiculously large motorbike and carry on renting 😂MatthewB21 said:

10th Sep AIP
10th Submitted full application and all documents
11th requested details of my furlough and if been effected (they already had this)
12th requested salary details (they already had this)
21st requested a letter to say I wouldn’t be made redundant in the foreseeable future (a strange request)
22nd was told not possible for this document as employer only gives generic references
1st October requested a letter to say I wasn’t working a notice period of redundancy & was told if I can’t get this document the mortgage wouldn’t be approved.
I believe Santander just don’t want to lend at the minute. Despite contracts, payslips and letters from employer to confirm salary, all dated in the last 3 weeks, they still want redundancy letter to state I’m not being made redundant.
Don’t I’ll be able to get this letter so a wasted 4 weeks.

Oh no what industry do you work in? Is there another mortgage lender you can try?FTBSolihull said:10th Sep AIP
