Hello, just wondering how long it took for people to receive their paperwork from Santander please? Our mortgage advisor called last Thursday to advise the valuation was completed that day and all ok. He advised Santander would send our approved mortgage papers to us and our solicitors, and he emailed us a copy of his 'intermediary copy'. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to send the paperwork? I'm hoping the solicitor will receive their copy the same day that I do so I can call them to confirm and figure out next steps. Thanks.

Hi, there are either delays in the Santander post room (They actually send it through a third party so probably the supplier that prints and packages the envelope before delivery).

Either that or there are still delays with Royal Mail - Ours took 7 days to arrive in the post from the day they said they'd sent it.

So don't worry too much but if it takes more than 10 days I would definitely ask them to re-send the hard copy in case it got lost in the post.

    Thank you. That’s very helpful.

We got the text on Friday 15:30 to say it would be 3 working days
We got the approval text through on Tuesday at 10:00

So it can definitely come back quicker than they say - In our case they got back to us in about half the time they said - I think you will hear soon. The next text we got after this was to say approved subject to valuation.

On the Thursday around 1PM had a text to say the valuation has been performed and mortgage now fully approved

It took a further 7 days for the actual paperwork to come in the post with the full details, but ours was for the full amount

Valuation been completed for us with no comment on it, so I assume this has been OK? I need to provide another payslip as Santander is querying a discretionary deduction on my last one.
You would get a text if it's gone to offer apparently. That's what my broker told me.

I'm just now waiting for my valuation, how long did yours take to get booked/happen?
Our valuation was instructed the day after application, booked 3 days after and scheduled for 5th May.
Just got news that my valuation is also booked for the 5th. Survey was instructed on Saturday.

I’ve just been told my valuation is on Friday. I know the lady we are buying the property off so she messaged me! Fingers crossed for you all
  • My mortgage application was submitted on the 21/04, heard back today that the valuation has been booked for 06/04. Is this a good sign? or will they still not have reviewed the application yet?
  • Following with interest. Our valuation is booked for in person on a new build for the 6th May.
I’d be interested to hear how quick people have heard after the valuation.

Fab!!! Fingers crossed for us both 🙈

Meanwhile, my extra requested docs about my previous sick leave have been sent to the underwriters through our MB!

She gave them a call to see if there was anything else they requested and was advised that it’ll be Thursday before they get to look at it due to the size of the queue (3 working days service level)

Really hoping all goes to plan!
