Santander apparently have a 2 stage UW process. First to check they have all the docs they need then goes back to them to check over and make decisions. Seems odd that they would then start top request lots of new things at the 2nd stage if they'd already confirmed they had everything they wanted..
I haven't heard anything btw, this is all just wondering and reading other people's experiences.
Fingers crossed yours will be soon!!
Hope you're right and things start moving this week.0 -

The underwriting delay with Santander are off the scale at the moment. According to their service level update on the website, they are STILL looking at applications sent to underwriters on 4th September - today is the fourth day they’ve been looking at that date. Mine went in on 5th!!! Hopefully no more questions for me as I’m told it’s just awaiting finals checks.I think that at this stage, all the credit check and affordability is done and it’s just a case of double checking and marrying the application with the valuation (which was done on 28th August!!!).I am going out of my mind with all this!! I know that every single case is different, and it’s useless trying to draw comparisons, but I personally get comfort from hearing that I’m not the only one going through this!0

Update from my broker is that they are dealing with applications from 7th (ours went in 10th). Is Santander particularly bad or is this the same with most lenders at the moment? Seems quite extreme.0
