  • Similar timescales to me. Applied 26/8. Then was with Underwriters during that time and physical valuation completed 15/9. Valuation received 17/9. Then was told it had passed the UW stage and was ready for offer by 22/9, only to have questions begin at that stage by the UW. Still waiting
That's so frustrating! We are waiting for the questions to start, just wish we would hear something, whatever it is!
  • @roro123 we've not had anything, its just what the mortgage broker has told us
  • I'm just getting to the point of thinking an offer won't happen now what with all the tightening up of things. Am self employed and took SEISS etc but back to normal and broker was thorough, but feel like it's a bad sign I haven't had any questions come up at all yet. Just feels so unattainable right now 😫

    When did you apply?

Anyone self employed and been requested to fill in a form about how Covid has affected the business (apparently you have to do this for Natwest)? Presumably this would be sent at UW stage.

We did this at application stage. Our MB asked loads of questions and he drafted a statement about it for santander.

    Ah OK.
Santander apparently have a 2 stage UW process. First to check they have all the docs they need then goes back to them to check over and make decisions. Seems odd that they would then start top request lots of new things at the 2nd stage if they'd already confirmed they had everything they wanted..
I haven't heard anything btw, this is all just wondering and reading other people's experiences.

That makes sense given mine and other people’s experiences. Seems UW1 gets it through to valuation the UW2 goes into more detail. I’ve still not heard anything although the timescales are up to 22/9 which is when we put our replies in to them. Keeping fingers & toes crossed x

Just find it so odd with the different timescales for different people. Our apps went in the same time and we've heard nothing as yet... hoping for news this week!
Fingers crossed yours will be soon!!

Yes it’s very odd. Your valuation was a week later which could have been down to the surveyors. Either way yours should be looked at early this week given their timescales. Hopefully not too many questions!! X
