Still no sign of an offer my end. It’s been in the ‘queue for underwriters to make final checks’ for two weeks now with no further questions asked!! 😭
:o Presume you've had your valuation? Was it put in the queue for the UW's straight away after that?
Yes I had my valuation on 28th August an was sent back to Santander on 1st September!!
And you've had nothing since?! Even by the current timescales that's a long time to not hear anything. What does you r broker say?
My broker said that they chase it up once a week and the last two weeks I have had the same response.  There should be no reasons for me to be declined so I can only assume this is due to their massive backlog, but I have passed my agreed exchange window now.  I will just continue biting my nails!!!

Sue when I chased my one the broker called them and it’s been with underwriters for the second time now since the 15th Sept and they are working on underwriting sent from the 4th sept so there’s a back log this was since they asked further documents. Mine obvs had a change of property form though so mine is delayed slightly different too. Hope we hear soon Iv been asked twice now for extra info so I presume they are looking at the moment or they wouldn’t ask but then valuation hasn’t been done that I’m aware of..
I thought those timescales meant that was the initial UW looking at it. Once questions have been asked then the ‘responding to broker messages’ and ‘documents received’ dates then apply
  • I have been declined because I can not supply a letter from my company to say that I'm not at risk of redundancy. It's crazy, I don't believe any company in the world would supply this letter, certainly no HR department. MA has appealed the decision, he said he'd not seen this request before but because they deem working for an airline as 'high risk' in the current climate.

Oh no, I’m so sorry. I hope the appeal goes quickly. 😔

I just wish there could be a normal timeline that all the applications follow rather than all being totally different.  Makes it so hard to follow what's going on and makes you panic even more!
  • Our full application went in on Monday night so now to begin the long wait to hear back
  • My broker chased it up again this morning and Santander said that it’s still in the queue for final checks.  I am into week five on Monday next week.......
