You seemed to have a few requested documents. Are you self employed or employed, on furlough. Or why did they keep coming back and forward asking for more documents each time
I have a limited company, as a director I will come under self employed, my wife employed and  got shares in my company too. during  Christmas time and the time we applied most Banks tighten there lending criteria, so they wanted to see we are worth to pay back our mortgage ;-)
Yes sounds likely then. I'm sure you're relieved that everything is approved. I'm hoping to get that text message over the weekend 🙏
I didn’t go to sleep till 2 and woke up at half 5 this morning if I don’t hear back today I don’t think I’m going to make it through the weekend 😩🤦🏽‍♀️

  • Hi, new to this forum. Been reading through this thread and am starting to get worried about my application. I have been reading it's taking weeks and weeks to get things through.
My timeline is (direct with Santander)
    Telephone appointment 23rd
Mortgage application reviewed and sent 25th
    Underwriters 26th
    Approved 26th
    Value confirmed 26th
Offer sent to me and my solicitor 26th (takes a week)
Nobody has been to value the house I am buying, we have 20% deposit plus about 3.5x income to borrow.
Does all this feel a bit quick, and may be a system glitch? We do have some credit cards (10k) and loans (about £800) and car finance £300 pm so would have expected some pushback and questions.

All sounds good. Did you apply in March? I'm just waiting to supply one more document over the weekend and hopefully that's everything the underwriters want. Our valuation has been done already but haven't had anything back from it yet. I hate the not knowing
  • Hi, yes all over the last week or so. I did have a mortgage with them for years so maybe that helped with the identity checks etc.

No idea we haven’t had an update from MB but I’m guessing we’ll be at the same stage as you! Have they only asked for one statement from you so far?

No they asked for recent months payslip from both of us and my 3 months bank statements just to prove child benefit entitlement. Hoping that's all they want.
