Might be different if you bank with them as proof of address will have already been done. On the portal for the application there is a section on the system to input your address code and I'd assume that everyone who applies directly will have to input the code.Mani_London said:
HI @Samster1: Is it with everyone ? What about person who banks with Santander ? My other half banks with Santander and i dont. We have applied for the mortgage and valuation is done. Just waiting for the outcome of valuation.samster1 said:
If this is the response after uploading your documents and they have been checked by the underwriter it means they are giving you the mortgage subject to receiving an address check via confirming the code on the letter. It's standard that all new applications receive letter to Confirm proof of address. I am waiting on the same letter.
Once you confirm the code I assume you will get your offer through.
Thanks
Id imagine that there would be a few exceptions like you suggest but for the vast majority of applications this will be Santanders standard practice.

Yes this normal.samster1 said:I applied directly and got a Dip then did the application online and again came back with a provisionally successful decision.
The next day I got an email to say that a valuation had been instructed. An hour later I got some questions that I had to answer.
Yesterday I got an update to say that they now have all the documentation and Information they need and will now be passed to the underwriter and can expect update in three days.
Is this normal for the application to go to an underwriter after valuation been instructed?
Does every application go through an underwriter?
Thanks in advance.0 -
Hello, first time posting. We applied for a mortgage on 20th January through a MB after getting an AIP. The broker emailed last Wednesday to say our application was now with the underwriters in final case checking. How long does this normally take please? Is it a good sign it’s at final case checking?0

Can't believe I'm back here again but here goes...
We got our offer back in January and have since been waiting for the vendor to find a new property but they aren't in any hurry. We have found another property we like, how do we stand on switching the mortgage offer to another property. Do we have to go through it all again or will they just switch it across? It's the same price as the one we originally applied for.

I'm no expert but on my portal it says if I want to change the property then it's a whole new application.cherryx3x3 said:Can't believe I'm back here again but here goes...
