Santander mortgage timeline

Do Santander accept applications from married people who are separating?  The mortgage property will become the house in which I move into when I move out. ?

So we got declined yesterday after an 8 week wait. No problem with affordability apparently but some inconsistencies with address details having living abroad for a while. Obviously we are gutted and probably going to lose the house. Mb has advised us to apply to NatWest, any idea what our chances are and how long it might take ?

I had a gifted deposit of 10k and just recieved our offer.

Hi,
Just received a call from Estate Agent confirming that valuation has taken place today. Anybody have any rough idea how long it takes for bank system to get this update ?

My valuation has been instructed and been told I they have all the information they need.  Application now sent to underwriters is this a good sign?

@Mani_London do we get informed when a valuation has been booked. I was told by my MA that my application is with the underwriter.

In my case we only found out the valuation was booked because my other half went to see the house and the sales manager told her she had to book it in the following week. It took less than a week and we then got our mortgage offer.

For everyone enduring the awful waiting game just keep your fingers crossed as I never thought I would get accepted after being turned down by precise and we were and moved into our new home just over a week ago. Worth all the stress in the end.

Hi @MK31: i called my Estate Agent to ask Vendors to give them a call when valuation is done, so she received a call from vendors that house has been valued today as it was a physical valuation through countrywide.

Hi @Spanner28: Just wondering what is your timeline and after how many days of valuation you received the mortgage offer. I am FTB and just bit worried. Also are you self employed or employed ? Did you go direct or through Broker.
