Did u go direct? I’m not sure how u ask if you did. If you went with MB ask them.?
  • Hi @Harry1986: If you went direct your can ask the person who is dealing with you mortgage application. Also try calling the Estate Agents and ask them to let you know if they or the seller been contacted by the valuation company. Its is with Countrywide and there are 90% chances that valuation people will contact you to upsell the Home Buyer report. As with Santander valuation is free.
What is your timeline. When did you apply and did they ask you for any further documents.
    Thanks

    Hi everyone
We are currently trying to buy a new build home. We initially applied for a morgage through Nationwide and the property was down valued by £20k. No luck with negotiating price, so our MA told us to apply with Santander. What are the chances of getting the same Surveyor again? 🙄

Hi @Harry1986: I would say call Estate agents to update you when valuation is booked as valuation person will call them to get this booked.

    Thanks

HI @MK31: Santander is using Countrywide surveyor, so just check with your MA which company nationwide used. Also i believe if it is undervalued that much then there must be a reason. Look around and see for how much other houses are being getting sold for.
    Thanks
