Santander mortgage timeline

Not posted before but have been watching this thread for a while. Just wanted to offer some hope for any self employed Santander applicants. Our timeline is;

AIP- 04/01
Full application submitted- 11/01
valuation done- 14/01
questions received and answered- 29/01
mortgage offered- today 03/02

so much quicker than expected after reading some of the posts on this thread! I think our mortgage broker is a magician 😁

Original application went in on 25/01- currently reviewing from 27/01
Still we havent had any updates.
When phoned they said it is with underwriter but online status hasnt been updated from appointment booked to next step.
Does anyone have similar case?

no further questions been asked.
Called advisor who keep saying from last 3 days its with mortgage underwriter.
Not getting answers or not have requested any documentation.
Not even received Key Illustration documents.
Currently Santander reviewing 29/01 application passed to underwriters.
Don't know what's going on. Any idea?

Sadly it’s just slow, it will be with the underwriter a good few days. If you are se it will be even slower,

I am not SE.
Provided all required documents.
Their credit search was keep showing i have credit card payment pending, for which i have submitted last 4 months credit card statement showing balance has been cleared every month.
Still cant believe what else they wanna play about?

It is just so slow, u should be quicker as you are not se, hang in there.?

Hey 
Me and my partner have applied for a 85%LTV Santander mortgage after a decline from another bank due a default of £45 which was paid off a year ago.

Our timeline so far:

- 14/01 - Application submitted via Broker and text from Santander reciveved
- 15/01 - all documents uploaded 
-18/01 - Info regarding payslips
- 19/01 - questions regarding Job security and COVID asked
- 26/01 - further information on payslip required along with most recent payslip.
- Today another question regarding COVID isolation as both me and my partner had 10 days due to track and trace but employer paid full pay for those days.

I am really hoping we are now past all the payslip questions and they get on with valuation. Our sellers have been very patient but after  12 weeks wait for the previous to decline we are very anxious. Fingers crossed.

Just recieved the message text saying we have been issued a mortgage offer. Does this arrive in the post??? I don't want to get happy to soon. Lol.

Yep all good congratulations, you will receive your offer in the post, solicitor will receive one to.

we we answered our 4th round of queries last Tuesday 2nd. Mb has told us today that we are not going to hear anything now until this Friday 12th. I’ve looked and it’s a 3 day turnaround now on queries so is this our mb not passing the information straight over to Santander or can it sometimes take a lot longer to come back to us ? I’m dreading more questions, our buyer has had enough now !

I’d say it’s your mb not passing them over, the turn around was pretty accurate for us, from the day after we re submitted.
