Searches took 2 weeks for us but thats only because the area were moving too in West Devon are slower .

We instructed solicitor on beginning of july by begiining of August was just waiting for questions to be answered by seller and our mortgage offer . Questions answered mid August so been waiting 3 weeks for offer . Yesterday MA sent off offer and our life insurance documents to solicitor to complete . 
Just waiting for date to move now to change over house and building insurance . Removal firm are pencilled in for 25th onward so just need to finish packing

Anybody know how soon hard searches were done after application? We had what is showing on Credit Karma as an affordability check on 26/8 and since then nothing. The valuation was apparently today

We had our searches done on the same day the application was sent but it looks as if it varies from person to person. Took about a month from application to offer.

Thanks - does it show as ‘hard search’ or is an affordability search the same thing?

We had soft and hard searches on same day as application, 26th August.  Valuation booked for 23rd September

We’re same day as you applied. We had the survey today but just can’t see anything other than affordability search on the 26/8. What credit file are you looking at? X

We had searches  

on day of application. Hard search showing on Experian and soft search showed on ClearScore.

Ahhh this makes me worried. Why they haven’t hard searched us. We both have excellent reports and no debt. 😬
