Good luck then.ftbhoping said:
Possibly. Obviously an error on their system to send the text 5 times. Will see over the next week as they’re up to applications sent to underswriter on the 1/9 and ours was in that pile on the 2/9 so hopefully shouldn’t be too much longer until it’s looked at.SueF1 said:
Ah OK if that text was meant to go to your agents maybe our vendors had the 5 texts instead lol (no agents invloved)ftbhoping said:
Yes I’ve only had 1 email saying application received. Somehow my husband had Countrywide text saying booked for a 15th then had 5 messages on the 14th confirming the valuation for the following day. It said we needed to be there but checked and that was apparently for the estate agent needing to be there.SueF1 said:
My broker thinks ours has already been looked at by the UW's and we're just waiting for the valuation to be done and checked so fingers crossed she's right- I hope she's not just saying that to stop me from worrying!0 -
That’s positive though. Why does she think that? I literally get zero info from my MB unless I pester.SueF1 said:

Just to join the party with our timeline
DIP - 10th Sep
Submitted application and all documents on 10th too
Requested more documents on both 15th and 16th sep which sent across immediately.
Just a waiting game for valuation but MB seems to think this may be a desk top valuation. Haven't received any more info.0 -
By Whatsapp: Told me they're just waiting for the valuation and then the offer. I asked if it's been seen by the underwriters then and her answer was 'Yep I think so' so I'm running with it optimisticallyftbhoping said:

Me too but still climbing the walls!ftbhoping said:@SueF1 that’s good service. Ours says they can’t see much and so we get no information. It’s a good job I’m busy with work and home life otherwise I’d be climbing the walls. I just don’t think my broker can be bothered logging into check, very frustrating.
Though as I said she may just be saying that to stop me worrying as she seems confident, me less so as my partner is SE so a bit more complicated.
We shall see!0 -
That’s my only worry as we’re both SE. Who knows 😣SueF1 said:

Exactly, nobody seems to be able to second guess what's coming next.ftbhoping said:

This will depend on the local council but I'm sharing our experience here so people are aware:firsttimebuyerlpl said:how long did It take for the solicitor to do the local searches ?
1st July - Submitted application with Santander
7th July - Searches with solicitor submitted
20th July - Environmental search came back
28th July - Valuation
29th July - Mortgage application approved
11th August - Followed up on local search (told by solicitors that it's with the search company, not come back, can't chase it or get an estimated timeline - ridiculous)
28th August - Followed up on local search again. Solicitor doesn't have it but followed up with the search company this time, to get an estimated timeline. Miraculously the search company have done it and send it over (coincidence, I think not).
9th September - Finally received the local search from the solicitor. The date it was completed was the 3rd August!!!!!!!!
I sent a very strongly worded complaint to our solicitor (about the general service we received as well as this, they have been quite rude to us, being told there were no more enquiries and then having more). They are blaming the local search on the search company but saying that they are asking for some or all of the search fee to be refunded. Honestly to anyone else - chase, chase, chase. Demand they ask the third party search company for an update. We are STILL waiting for a completion date because firstly they sent our contract to the wrong address and now Royal Mail are being terrible. I'm trying to be positive and think forwards only, but the thought that we could have been in our house like a month ago makes me want to cry.
Edit: this was Aylesbury vale council, so actual timelines would have been 4 weeks, but it took 9 weeks (!!!) to get to us.0
