And all that was because of the endless questions about my 10k per annum SE, not one question about husband's 50k income 🤦🤷

MB called yesterday to say they’ve requested for valuation but not yet been looked at by underwriter. All documents have been uploaded on the 28/8 so just a waiting game now 🥴

Your comment about texts just made me look at my previous texts from Santander (don't know why, maybe hoping that this magically makes them text me and offer me lots of money!). It had messages on the thread from my previous mortgage offer a couple of years ago- application on the Tuesday, mortgage offer received on the next Monday! Makes you want to cry now doesn't it at how long it's all taking these days!

Spoke to them today, underwriters are swamped.

Thought I’d join the forum during this long and anxiety-inducing wait.

My application was submitted on 28/8. Has anyone else who had their application submitted around this time heard anything?

Ours was submitted 26/08. Soft and hard search done same day. Valuation instructed straight away, booked for 23/09.
They must have looked as broker had to re upload a document due to the accountant not filling in the date on the accountant certificate (one of us in self employed).
Nothing since, just waiting for Valuation to happen before anything else can presumably.

soft search 13 /08
Hard Search 18 /08
passed affordability and credit checks 21/08 offer subject to valuation 

Valuation 27/08
contacted MA today who said last checks before decision but no time scale given only that Satander are very busy .

Was hoping to move 18th but cannot see that happening now.

Did you go via a broker? Also - where can you see if soft/ hard credit checks are done? I can see a soft search on the same day we applied on Credit Karma and since then nothing more is showing
