Hey all, I’m new to this forum - but stressed out at the whole Santander process  :/
    18/09 Mortgage Application
    24/09 Valuation Instructed
    14/10 Valuation Date
    02/11 With Underwriter
13/11 Sent further documents from partners account director as he is a share holder in his company and they needed more info on this (although we already sent the information with the application)

    currently using a broker.
Hopefully hear back soon, but losing hope!
That’s a hell of a wait! Hopefully they’re going through the docs that have been sent in and you’ll have a decision by end of week! Good luck

They seem to have ticked over to checking additional info to UWS on the 17th Nov. We went in on 16th and not heard anything yet. The wait is a killer!

Spoke to MB, they said we should hear something end of the week.
  • Had the call today, after 2 months of waiting - it’s been declined due to not meeting the criteria - although everything was pre-approved and all documents have been proof read by a former underwriter who sees no issues. Good luck to everyone else, we were just unlucky so please don’t take this negatively for your own applications as we all have different circumstances. Wishing you all speedy answers and good news!

Partner is a shareholder of a Holdings Company which is the parent company to their LTD business and we sent supporting documents of dividends etc, but they only came back with we didn’t meet the criteria.

I’m so sorry, it’s massively unfair to wait that long for a decline. I don’t see how they can’t pick up on criteria issues on the initial assessment, id assume that that’s what it’s for. Push your broker to get a more firm reason, so at least you know before you make your next move. Good luck
