22/09 - application submitted with Leeds BS, long story short, on the 9/11 we've been told that Leeds is reducing the amount they're willing to lend by nearly £20k (turns out our broker FORGOT to declare our child on the application)
10/11 - found another mortgage advisor
11/11 - AIP with Santander (single applicant, shared ownership, 85LTV)
    12/11 - all documents sent
13/11 - application with Santander submitted and passed to underwriting. Valuation booked for 23/11
19/11 - mortgage agreed, subject to a satisfactory valuation
    23/11 - mortgage offer issued
    19/12 - completed

    my 2 cents worth
Both of are SE.. not affected by covid
    13/10 full app via MB
    13/10 hard search
    13/10 valuation booked straight away
    23/10 request personal bank statements
3/11 physical valuation as desktop not possible
    ....waiting

when it says 35 days average time to offer, I am assuming it is working days? meaning 7 weeks!
Bit of a blow.. MB confirms santander said I am still 11 days behind in the queue ... must be an extra complex queue!!

How annoying!! Maybe it’s because they needed extra docs before you could be put in the UW Queue, we applied on 17th and they received it on the 18th and joined UW Q On the 26th, but they didn’t ask for any extra documents thankfully.
hopefully it’ll go quickly, they’ve actually been making progress for once!!

Our offer went in on the 5th and today and broker called to say they had approved the offer! Just waiting for proper work to be sent out! It felt like the longest wait but worth it in the end :)
Congrats Daisy, 5th oct or Nov?? Your both employed or SE?
5th October! So it’s been almost 7 weeks. I am employed but OH is self employed so we had to give extra info a few times!
We went in on the 1/10, we are both se though, what info did they ask u for?
I was asked for additional payslips just before offer was issued. For my boyfriend we had to send a letter from his accountant and a series of questions which we had to write our own answers for about how Covid affects business etc.

They asked how covid has affected business, will turnover be affected next year etc. We also sent a letter from accountant. He is a sole trader and its 85% LTV. Thats okay i dont mind i have been reading all the answers on this page waiting for my offer!! x
  • Hi all, was reading here for a while and decided to give our time line, maybe that would help for somebody here.
    06/10 submitted application
    12/10 valuations instructed
    16/10 joint UW queue
    19/11 received an offer
Both SE with ltd, my partner was furloughed during 1st lockdown, I was working, no additional information was requested from us.
