22/09 - application submitted with Leeds BS, long story short, on the 9/11 we've been told that Leeds is reducing the amount they're willing to lend by nearly £20k (turns out our broker FORGOT to declare our child on the application)
10/11 - found another mortgage advisor
11/11 - AIP with Santander (single applicant, shared ownership, 85LTV)
    12/11 - all documents sent
13/11 - application with Santander submitted and passed to underwriting. Valuation booked for 23/11
19/11 - mortgage agreed, subject to a satisfactory valuation
    23/11 - mortgage offer issued
    19/12 - completed

When you submit new paperwork (se) how long does it usually take befor you have an update, we are 6 weeks in today. Estate agent keeps ringing being pretty horrible that we don’t have mortgage yet. Although we are still waiting on a search on the house we are buying so couldn’t exchange anyway. Was feeling ok but now anxiety levels through the roof thanks to EA.
Totally unacceptable for the estate agent to pressure you like that. They all know that the banks are taking longer to process applications.
For anyone who has had their mortgage sorted, how long is the wait from when the underwriter starts looking at the case to receiving an offer? ( if they do not ask more questions). I'm in the queue for the underwriters to have a look on the 12th ( so yday and today according to the status page)  but not sure if i should chase my broker when it hits the 13th or wait longer
Definitely chase. It won’t do any harm!
Just did, no luck yet. He said they not had a reply yet .  I was hoping for a ping from my credit ref agencies saying check done- although not sure how quickly that updates.
30/09 Text From Santander to say App Received
    12/10 Sent to Underwriters Queue
12/11 Now being looked at by the underwriters

Randomly I’ve just got off the phone to my MB speaking about credit checks at UW stage....(I’ve had fraud on mine in the past and had a last minute panic thinking what if it happens again before the UWs look 😅).
Anyway, he said they don’t always pull the credit report again. Asked him how he knew and he said they’re constantly dealing with sending proof that loans/credit cards have been paid as the UW is using the credit check generated when the application went in and most of them at the moment are 2 months out of date!! So if you’ve already had a hard check (mine shows on Experian) then chances are you won’t 100% have another one.

Spoke with my mortgage broker. Applied 19th October, employed, and was requested more details on October 27th. She said she expects a response from them on November 30th give or take a day either side

Possibly added to the complicated queue as I have an additional income from a trust fund from my late husbands estate

It may not be the complicated queue - we applied 15/10, query on 28/10 and nothing since. MB told us on 5/11 that we could expect an offer “any day now”. Both employed, not furloughed, 75% LTV and 20% HTB.
